It’s good news for Fredrik Eklund and his husband Derek Kaplan. The Million Dollar Listing New York star is about to become a father! Fredrik and Derek have revealed they are due to have a daughter via their surrogate. And they already have a name picked out for their little girl.
Due “very soon,” Fredrik shares that he and Derek are more than ready to be first-time fathers. “I’ve always known that I would have a daughter and that her name would be Milla,” gushed NYC’s number 1 realtor. “It’s been the goal for the majority of my adult life.”

This season of MDL:NY Fredrik and Derek will wrestle with when to start their family, before ultimately deciding to use a surrogate. Fredrik gushes that Derek is embracing soon-to-be fatherhood as well and they cannot wait to meet their daughter. “I have butterflies, I can’t think, I can’t sleep,” he exclaims to People. “I’m just so in love with her.”
Fredrik also shares that marriage is going wonderfully and Derek really balances him out. “Derek is amazing. I’m just more balanced, happier, and more calm,” explains Fredrik of the 65 green tea lattes per day. “I just can’t wait to grow old with him, and I have so much to thank him for.”
Well, I can’t wait to watch MDL:NY – even if Ryan Serhant is back! Tonight MDL premieres on Bravo at 9/10c.
