A few weeks ago Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett were being called out by their Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars castmates for being fake on camera. Now Kendra is taking her really-real-realness to the streets, announcing that she and hubby Hank’s involvement with the show helped them get to a stronger place in their marriage.
“I think being on TV helped us expedite everything a little bit more and push us more into the therapy a lot more,” says Kendra in a recent interview. “It pushed us a little bit more to get to the root of our problem and the root of our feelings.”

After reports surfaced last year that Hank had – er – relations, with a transgender YouTube model, Ava Sabrina London, Kendra reportedly flushed her wedding ring down the toilet. Then she thought about her 15 minutes of fame drying up and signed up for WeTV’s Marriage Boot Camp to work on her marriage, saying, “We needed the help and we really needed to focus on what our real issues were and what we need to do to solve them.”
But castmates like Jersey Shore alum Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Aubrey O’Day’s boyfriend Travis Garland (among others) questioned Kendra and Hank’s commitment to the show’s process, and even the authenticity of Hank’s alleged indiscretion that might have bought them a ticket on to MBC in the first place. Travis wondered why, for example, Kendra and Hank were given closed therapy sessions, away from the rest of the cast. “What makes Hank so special that he doesn’t have to do that s—? Why are you here, bro?” wondered Travis.
Despite castmates crying foul, Kendra tells Us Weekly that she and Hank indeed bared it all for the cameras. “We’re just showing the healing process. Everything that really happens after something tragic happened. We’re human. We’re not perfect people. This is pretty much a TV diary of what we’re going through.”
