Watch out Meghan Edmonds! The Kardashians are hot on your trail with some cancer testing of their own. Alas, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars have just a teensy bit more social media presence than Mrs. Edmonds the Third, so their “journey” might just overshadow the RHOC storyline that almost was not.
On Tuesday of this week, TMZ reports that Kris Jenner joined her daughters Khloe and Kim Kardashian on a trip to Pathway Genomics in San Diego with Botched doctor Dr. Paul Nassif (huh?), to undergo genetic testing for BRCA1, a mutation that may cause ovarian and breast cancer in some people. This is the same testing Angelina Jolie underwent before she opted for a preventative double mastectomy.

Kris’s late husband, Robert Kardashian, died of cancer at the age of 59, perhaps inspiring his daughters to keep close tabs on their own risk factors. Kourtney Kardashian, also Rob’s biological daughter, was absent from the screening, however, which also included diabetes and heart disease testing.
Perhaps Kourtney is not very into these mom/daughter bonding moments lately since Kris publicly called for Kourtney and Scott Disick to patch things up, despite the couple’s many, many issues over the past years. Kris recently told Access Hollywood, “My wish is that, you know, they work it out and figure it out and we’ll see what happens.” She praised Scott, adding, “He’s a great dad and he loves the kids and he loves Kourtney.”

One also has to scratch their heads over the addition of Dr. Nassif to the ladies’ genetic testing jaunt. Ah, but then we remember, these are the Kardashians, therefore every moment of their lives simply must be turned into a photo/TV/social media/soundbite opportunity! Perhaps this moment will be featured on an upcoming KUWTK episode? (Is filming underway for that at the moment?) Or maybe Botched is grasping for a Kardashian cameo, no matter how mundane? Either way, we’re sure to see this on our TV screens at some point!
