Following in the footsteps of her costar Kim Zolciak, Bravo announced yesterday that Kandi Burruss has also received her own show on the network!
The show, titled “The Kandi Factory” will follow the Real Housewives of Atlanta star as she attempts to transform music hopefuls into the next big popstar. If she can do it with Kim, she can do it with anyone no?
“With her breakout personality and straightforward attitude, Bravo fans have grown to love Kandi on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’” said Eli Lehrer, Vice President of Development for Bravo. “‘The Kandi Factory’ will capture a unique look at her successful music career as Kandi transforms two music hopefuls into the next big popstar.”

In the special, Kandi will give two protégés the opportunity to come to Atlanta and learn the fundamentals of pop music success. She has identified three factors that have to fit perfectly together to create a pop sensation: the song, the look and the performance. Kandi and her team of experts at The Kandi Factory will then work with the two contestants in order to turn them into music superstars.
Kandi, one of the few housewives with an actual talent, is a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and former member of the platinum-selling music group Xscape. Kandi also owns a Grammy thanks to her work on TLC’s mega-hit “No Scrubs.”
No word yet on when the show will air but those interested in participating have until Oct. 24 to submit an application at www.kandiprojectcasting.com.
