There’s a certain polygamist we all know who seems to take the same stance on reality show exposure as he does his wives. The more the Meri-ier (insert cringe-worthy groan here)! Don’t even act like you’re surprised!
Sure, I’m excited to learn that TLC has renewed Sister Wives for yet another season. I’m a red-blooded woman, so that means I adore Kody Brown and his hair follicles just as much as any other gal. Sheesh, it was hard to type that and keep a straight face. All joking aside, get ready to have yet another reason to be thankful…Kody and his four wives are returning on Sunday, November 27th at 8 PM to TLC. In tow are their 18 collective children (18 and maybe counting? Robyn certainly looks “glowing” in the promo picture).

If you don’t get enough side dish passive aggressiveness, cornucopia centerpiece conniving, and forced togetherness with your own brood, you can enjoy a side of leftover turkey, dressing, and insanity with the Browns this Thanksgiving weekend. After the past season was fraught with drama thanks to Meri’s catfishing shenanigans (and subsequent blame, tears, downplaying, and groveling), what are we to expect for the new round of episodes? If you guessed more catfishing drama, please give yourself a pat on the back!
The Browns posted the above photo on their Facebook page to coincide with TLC’s release of the upcoming season’s Sister Wives super trailer. Not only are Robyn and Christine finally thick as thieves, Meri and Janelle continued to revisit their relationship through counseling. Even from this brief clip, it’s obvious that Christine‘s happy pills forge a lot more territory than a licensed therapist.

Additionally, we’re treated to a much anticipated wedding for oldest daughter Maddie (although things get a tad awkward for Christine at a family lingerie shower) and a less than anticipated engagement. Mykelti is always getting the short end of the stick! Is it bad that I’m disappointed her proposal was all caught on film? Why am I even surprised? Even with all of the family festivities, the Browns still feel the need to rehash every second of Meri’s online dating disaster.
Without question, there’s going to be more painting classes, grander mission statements, and elaborate parties with TLC picking up the tab. It’s what we’ve come to expect, right? Check out highlights of the Sister Wives new season below, and make sure you tune in with me at the end of the month!
