Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi took a lot of crap over her handbag and beauty business, Gretchen Christine International. But it seems that Gretchen is having the last laugh as she announces her company was recently acquired by a “large beauty brand.” She took to Facebook to share her latest business update.
Gretchen shared her news with her followers, “Many said I would never make it, many doubted my ability to survive, some even made fun of my business on international television. One person in particular constantly tells others how irrelevant I am, but here I am still going strong not allowing any of those negative words to define my destiny. Eight years later, countless hours of hard work #GretchenChristine International is still thriving and growing and I’m thrilled to share that it was recently acquired by a large beauty brand.”
“So my point is this, if I had ever listened to the naysayers and let the people who were trying to destroy me or my business get to me I could have never built my business to a place where another company would want to acquire it.”
She continues, “Being “relevant” doesn’t matter because being seen for who I really am is far more important to me now. I was just a regular girl with a big dream and a strong work ethic. I never allowed money or fame to direct my decisions but instead I was lead by my faith and the moral fiber that has been instilled in me since I was a little girl.”

Rossi shares that her relationship with God has helped her in many ways, “God blesses those who trust in him and follow his ways and not the ways of the world. Would my path have been easier had I followed the money, the fame and done whatever I needed too to stay “relevant” or popular….probably, but something would have been broken inside of me because I would have changed my morals to do so. But today I stand tall knowing I did all this by myself by hard work, sweat and tears, and with integrity along the way. So today and always I will say thank you Lord for blessing me and my business because I remained faithful even during the difficult times. Thank you for “preparing a table before me in the presence of my enemies” Psalm 23:1-6….As stated, I was just a girl with a dream and with faith I have come through all the storms people have thrown my way! So my messages is to all those out there who have a dream and been told your not good enough, not relevant enough, not strong enough to make it happen….keep dreaming, keep fighting, and have faith! I am living proof of this! The enemy cannot curse what the Lord has blessed.”
