Aside from her (seemingly) controlling ex-husband, Porsha Williams has not had a legitimate love interest on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Sure, we’ve been subjected to viewing some failed dates and some faux relationships, but nothing that felt like more than a story line.
Nevertheless, a lot of people are really pushing for Porsha to get together her Dish Nation coworker Rickey Smiley.
During an appearance on Watch What Happen Live, Rickey told Andy Cohen, “We have really good chemistry. We spent time together before. Just hung out. She needed to get away. She came to Birmingham for the weekend. We went out to the club. I had a show that night.” He made sure to emphasize, “She stayed up stairs in the guest room. I didn’t go upstairs.”
Rickey continued, “I think she would make a great wife. What I see on Real Housewives of Atlanta is not my experience with Porsha working with her every day when we spend time together – just as friends.” Maybe I should start tuning into Dish Nation then.
Rickey was asked about Porsha’s drama last season with Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss, which has been majorly glossed over even though Porsha spread rumors about Kandi wanting to drug and rape her. Rickey tried to stay neutral, saying, “You know, I’m kind of the non-confrontational type of person. I kind of felt bad and it was just hard to watch. Like I said before, it’s just not the Porsha that I know.
Then Eva Marcille finally jumped into the interview and addressed those rumors that Shamea Morton started to get camera time about a romance with Missy Elliott. Eva explained, “Missy and I had the same management and because I was new to the city, we hung out all the time. People saw us together and thought that we might be dating, so that was that.”
Eva also discussed her confrontation with Cynthia Bailey‘s kind of, sort of boo Will Jones. She remarked, “I felt like it was a little much. It was extremely defensive.” And shady as hell.
Andy asked Rickey if he would consider asking Porsha out if she left Dish Nation and without hesitation he said, “Yes. Absolutely.” Interesting
