Oh Jimmy Kimmel, you just inched up a few slots on my cool people list.
Last night at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, the comedian made Kim Kardashian the butt of several jokes. She and pimpmomager Kris Jenner saved face by laughing when the cameras panned their way, but I’m sure they were genuinely delighted to be the center of attention.

A couple of Jimmy’s zings directed at Famewhore #1: “If you’re looking for the biggest threat to America right now, she’s sitting right there. Her name is Kim Kardashian.” He followed that up with: “when you took office, the Kardashians had one reality show — now they have four. This is not a good trend.” You can see the video clips below.
Earlier in the evening, as Kim made her way down the red carpet, she was asked about her possible run for mayor and she didn’t deny it. This is getting scary serious. She told reporters: “I’m thinking about it. I always set my goals really high, so stay tuned.”
Also on the political front, Kim shared that things get deep and heated in the Kardashian house when they talk politics. “When we’re at our house it is a war when we talk about politics because our parents are complete Republicans and all the kids are Democrats.”
Anyone else having a hard time envisioning the Kardashian Klan talking about anything other than wardrobes, headlines, and film crews over dinner?
If Kim’s run for office doesn’t work out, she’s hoping that her fallback career will be in comedy. (Wait, isn’t that what she’s doing now?) According to the NYP, she wants to be as popular as Modern Family star Sofia Vergara. “Kim wants to move beyond reality TV and become a comedy actress. She really wants to be the next Sofia Vergara. Acting is something she wants to do just for her. Kim wants to do something that wouldn’t involve her sisters.”
I’ve seen a few of Kim’s cameos on sitcoms over the years, and while she usually just plays herself, nothing has really stood out and made me say “hilarious” or “wow, what great comedic timing she has!”.
