It’s baby reveal time for Deena Cortese and Chris Buckner on tonight’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation! Are you team blue or team pink? With her Jersey Shore family at her party, she and Chris finally find out if they are having a boy or a girl.
But it’s only the first of many surprises in this episode, but first let’s enjoy the gender reveal party. It’s amusing that both Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Vinny Guadagnino don’t even know what a gender reveal party is!
Besides finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl, the squad is also wondering where Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is. This isn’t new as Ronnie hasn’t shown up for events before. He’s also been in a volatile relationship with his girlfriend Jen Harley and the group has been questioning his decision to stay with her and try to work it out. The relationship turned even more toxic when they got into a fight at a restaurant a few months ago and Jen dragged Ronnie when he tried to get out of the car!
We see that Ronnie actually wants to show up and surprise Deena. And his grand entrance absolutely floors everyone! Vinny, Mike and Ronnie catch up and find out that Ronnie hasn’t moved on from Jen yet at all — as a matter of fact, it’s quite the opposite. They have reconciled and Ronnie claims they are trying to work it out. This makes Vinny and Mike visibly uncomfortable. What’s even more uncomfortable is that Ronnie describes the car drag as an ‘accident’ and Vinny and Mike can’t believe it. They want to support Ronnie, but know this relationship is a huge mistake.
Will Ronnie bring Jen to the party to celebrate Mike and Pauly‘s birthdays in Atlantic City? Pauly also has a gig there and, as Jenni” JWoww Farley put it, it’s going to be “dinner before debauchery.”
Oh yeah, the gender reveal — it’s a boy!
The couple plans on naming the baby ‘Christopher John,’ — after Chris and also Deena’s dad, John.
Everyone is still talking to the cameras about how they don’t want Ronnie to show up in Atlantic City with Jen. Will he or won’t he? After laughs and reminiscing about their past party memories in Atlantic City — you know, the time that Jenni decked Vinny — the suspense is lifted because Ronnie does not show up with Jen. Everybody is extremely happy and the squad feels much more relaxed. But just when you think the Jen noise is over, it’s not.
While everyone celebrates at dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s Steakhouse, they are dealing with yet another surprise. Angelina brought her fiance Chris to the party — someone she says that she always fights with and the group is uncomfortable yet again. To make matters worse, JWoww makes sure to tell Chris that Angelina and Vinny slept together. Awkward! The good news is that even though Angelina and Chris bickered for quite a while at some point through the dinner, the group seemed to like Chris.
Speaking of fighting, Ronnie assures everyone at the table that the fighting with Jen has ended and he asks the group to let her come to Pauly‘s event because she’s in town. Did you feel that? It’s the shift in everyone being extremely and visibly uncomfortable again, especially Vinny. In the sneak peek of next week’s episode, we can already see that Jen shows up and the party fireworks have only just begun.
One of the funniest parts of the night was watching Mike put on his ‘police hat’ that he got as a gift and run when he hears a siren. Pauly D says: “It’s so much fun watching him run. He runs like Forrest Gump.”
