As if the Kardashian family isn’t overexposed enough, the Queen of Talk, Oprah Winfrey herself, felt compelled to give them yet another platform from which to spew their ridiculousness. Thanks a heap, O. Couldn’t you just stick to book clubs and giveaways? UsWeekly reports on the interview’s highlights.
Questioning Kim about her blink-and-you-missed-it wedding to Kris Humphries and career catapulting sex tape with Ray J, the reality mogul oh so eloquently replies, “I’ve obviously made plenty of mistakes in my lifetime, but I’m not the type to sit and beat myself up over it. If a real lesson was learned, I’m so okay with having experienced that.”

Upon hearing Kim’s vast wisdom and growth, Oprah responds, “That is so perfect I could weep.” Really? Weep? I used to watch your show religiously Oprah, and I shed many a tear, but none–NONE–over anyone as vapid as dense Kimmie.
Of her decision to divorce Kris, Kim continues, “I was in such a deep depression I thought I was going to back away from it all. You know when you just have that feeling that he’s the one? When we moved in I had the feeling he was not the one.” She explains that her decision to step out of the spotlight for four months wasn’t made on a whim, and it was risky in light of her public career. Um, what? When exactly were these four months? Perhaps that was when I was in a coma…but wait…
Of that infamously toiletitious 2007 sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J, Kim touts that experience as one of her biggest regrets. However, from adversity comes strength, and Kim persevered through the scandal.
Touching on her other past romances, Kardashian admitted making a sex tape with her ex Ray J — that was leaked to the public in 2007 — was one of her biggest regrets. Still, the reality star says coping with that scandal gave her strength.
She tells Oprah, “[I] felt like I had to work 10 times harder to get people to see the real me. I humiliated my family and that’s something I’m going to live with and explain that to my children.”
DISCLAIMER: ARE YOU STILL IN THE VICINITY OF THAT TRASH CAN?
Taking a page out of Oprah’s idol’s playbook, Kim takes the opportunity to quote Maya Angelou. Yes, you read that correctly. She says, “I’m not grateful [for the tape’s release], but if I could live my life again — if I knew better — I would do better.” Kim clearly knows why the caged bird sings, y’all!
Kim admits, “I feel like I’ve had an epiphany over the last year. Where I am now, my life is not all about me. The fans who watch the show get our personalities, but because of the divorce, this platform has been given to these haters…but [their chatter] doesn’t affect me like it used to. I’m totally growing up.” Like totes, for real.
