Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has been turned up to eleven all season long. You’d think she would be happy now that she’s an honorary member of the Witches of WeHo. But instead, she’s had one meltdown after the other. And her wrath has been targeted at her former best friend, James Kennedy.
Lala and James used to be inseparable. They genuinely supported each other in their friendship and artistic endeavors. James even kickstarted Lala’s non-existent career as a singer. But times have changed. Now Lala has a non-existent career as an actress. Just don’t say her fiancé Randall Emmett got her there. So, does Lala still support James and his career?
In a video interview for the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Lala was asked if she thought James would be successful. Her reaction was mixed and not as vile as I thought it was going to be.
Lala said, “How do I put this in a nice way. I would be shocked if he became successful.” I’m pretty sure that’s also how everyone feels about Lala and her “acting career.”

She continued, “James Kennedy won’t not be successful because he lacks talent, we all know he’s a talented person.” I’m surprised she actually said something nice. Maybe there is still some hope they can be friends again?
Lala said, “It’s just because he doesn’t care enough about having drive. He cares more about sabotaging himself and his work. So yeah, I would be shocked if that happened for him.”

It’s interesting that Lala thinks he doesn’t have enough drive. On VPR, all we see is James hustling to get various DJ gigs across town. His drinking is what is sabotaging him from getting rehired at SUR, but it’s not hindering him from getting other DJ gigs.
This seems like another case of Lala thinking she is better than everyone. It’s such a shame that she and James are no longer friends. What I wouldn’t give for James to have a cameo in her film with Al Pacino! Then I would actually watch it.
