Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes “MJ” Javid has endured a bumpy road to motherhood. First, she married the man of her dreams, Tommy Feight. It included a televised wedding where MJ memorably told Tommy to “shut the f*ck up” during their vows. The then-45-year-old MJ went through IVF in order to get pregnant. It included multiple surgeries to prepare her for an embryo transfer.
MJ almost had a miscarriage and ended up on mandatory bed rest. As recently as a few weeks ago, haters were questioning if the pregnancy was real. Happily, MJ and Tommy welcomed baby Shams Francis Feight on Wednesday, April 17th. He arrived via C-section at 6 pounds 9 ounces. The little love bug is named after MJ’s beloved father and Tommy’s mother, who are both deceased.
MJ said she “feels eternally grateful and blessed” after Shams came into the world. Recently, Tommy posted the first photo of the baby on Instagram. MJ, still in her hospital gown, cuddled Shams.
Tommy’s caption honored with humor the battles MJ has fought along the way: “Daenerys of the House Javid, the First of Her Name, The Cerclaged, Queen of the Spray Tans, the Shahs and the First Men, Queen of Beverly, Khaleesi of the Great Cedar Sinai, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Seven Shopping Centers, Breakers of Chains and Mother of Dragons.” For anyone without HBO, these are Game of Thrones references.

An article in E!News reported that MJ and baby Shams were discharged from the hospital three days after Sham’s birth and spending the subsequent days in the ICU. “Coming home from the hospital with a healthy baby boy is a dream come true. We are enjoying every single moment together,” MJ told E!News exclusively. “Being a mom is an incredible experience so far, and Baby Shams is so precious.”
MJ continued, “I’m on the mend and ready to embark on a new chapter in life. We look forward to taking our first stroller outing and Tommy and I are in awe of what we have created together.” The new mom is reportedly feeling much better and the baby has been doing well since his birth.
