As Vanderpump Rules fans know, Tom Sandoval is many things. He’s an enigma, wrapped in a riddle and cash… Oh sorry, wrong enigma. But seriously, Tom 1 is an interesting guy. Tom cares about his looks. Long-time viewers remember his penchant for shaving his forehead, as seen in the first season of Pump Rules. The man also knows how to commit to a costume party.
Living in Los Angeles can certainly drive one to excess. Drinking, partying, and staying up late can age a person prematurely. Several members of the show have admitted to enhancing their features. I’m looking at you, Brittany Cartwright. I mean, isn’t Jax Taylor on his fifth nose? I’m not judging! While Lala Kent and Scheana Marie have helped several doctors pay off their medical school debt with Botox injections, we don’t hear a lot from the men in that area. Until now, that is.
Tom does not play when it comes to his beauty regime. Doesn’t he own about 57 hair straighteners? In an article from Page Six, we learn Tom has boarded the Botox train. Not to combat the heartbreak of wrinkles, but to keep his hair in place. Yes, you read that correctly. To keep his hair in place.
“You know what, though, I have done it,” he added. “Just above my ears, I’ve done Botox. When I smile, my ears move up a lot and it keeps my hair from going over my ears.” THE HORROR! Don’t his hair follicles have any shame? How dare they become mussed when our Tom 1 smiles?
Unlike some of his cast members, he claims he doesn’t get shot up with the stuff to the point of facial paralyzation. “I know it’s preventative. I personally just like the movement in my forehead. My eyebrows are a very expressive part of my look and my personality, so it’s just not something I really do.”

Forehead movement isn’t for everyone. Bravo has taught us that much. But hair troubles aside, Tom isn’t addicted to the needle. He admits, “I’ve done it twice and it lasts for a long time.”
An NYC-based board-certified cosmetic dermatologist weighed-in on the practice. He says, “This is not a common request but I have done it a couple of times. The muscle that controls the top of the ear is a complex group of muscles that converge above the ear. Injection into these muscles above the ear cause relaxation of the muscles that are responsible in holding the ear up. Controlled Weakening of these muscles causes the ear to drop a few millimeters optimizing the placement of high ears or ears that move up upon smiling. Lasts 3-4 months.”

Good to know, for anyone out there struggling with hair issues. I guess if you have the money and the time, you do you. I just hope Tom doesn’t follow in the footsteps of certain co-stars, who could be eligible for the witness protection program. Do us all a favor, Tom, and stay away from the veneers.
