On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way, there were some interesting developments. We finally got to meet the final couple Jihoon and Deavan, who were introduced on this episode. Also, one of the American hopefuls is stranded at the airport. The person they gave up everything for didn’t feel like coming to get them.
Wow…. Am I the only one who would have taken that as confirmation that this isn’t a good decision? Sometimes when everything in you screams you are making a mistake, you should listen! Sometimes I almost wish I was less cynical, but when I see naivety like this, I appreciate its benefits.
Corey, 31 (Mill A, Washington) & Evelin, 26 (Ecuador)
Corey calls his sugar baby, Evelin and is disappointed in her lack of optimism about the future of their relationship. Maybe he should have thought about her commitment issues before giving up $40,000 and giving up his entire life in America. Now that Evelin has a cocktail bar and rental properties in HER name, why does she need Corey? SMH…. Good luck with that relationship, buddy. The way I see it, she has essentially stripped you of everything without giving anything in return.
It’s Corey’s final day in America and he has an honest conversation with his parents on the way to the airport. He is still very worried about whether he is doing the right thing. Nonetheless, Corey has packed an engagement ring and is willing to risk everything.
Corey finally arrives in Ecuador only for EVILin not to bother to meet him at the airport. A naïve Corey wanders around the airport looking for his freeloading bae, only to find out she isn’t coming. He has several bags and she dares to tell him to just get on the bus it’s not rocket science.
That is when I would have gone to a nice hotel and made arrangements to go right back home after. I feel so bad for Corey. He looks scared that he will be robbed of everything he owns. WOW!!!! This made me so mad.
Corey, you are sweet and attractive and seem generous. You could find a lovely woman willing to treat you well without having to give up your entire life. After this, I will forever call this girl EVILin. Figure out a way to get your money back and run, Corey. This girl will only break your heart and put a dent in your wallet while she stomps all over you. I honestly hope she says no to a proposal so he will come back to his senses.
Tiffany, 27 (Frederick, Maryland) & Ronald, 29 (South Africa)
Tiffany Franco and her son, Daniel, arrive in South Africa for him to finally meet his “daddy”, Ronald Smith. Because he is currently in rehab, his mother picks them up from the airport. I can’t imagine him stealing from this sweet woman to fund his gambling habits. Let’s hope that he doesn’t relapse and he has put his past mistakes behind him. SMH….
Tiffany and Daniel have an emotional reunion with Ronald at the wellness center. His counselor has a talk with Tiffany about his addiction and the support he will need in the future. She is warned that his gambling addiction can be replaced with a new one. I think Tiffany coming to South Africa when he is fresh out of rehab is a mistake. He doesn’t have any time to adjust to a new life before he has a new ready-made family. I hope for her son’s sake she hasn’t made a terrible mistake. If he ends up not being everything she has promised, her child will be hurt, most of all.
Deavan, 22 (Salt Lake City, Utah) & Jihoon, 29 (South Korea)
We finally get to meet the last couple, Jihoon and Deavan, who met on an international dating app. Within three months, Jihoon flew from South Korea to Utah to meet Deavan. It must have been one heck of a greeting because she wound up getting pregnant the first night they met. Deavan wants to get married and move to South Korea. But they still have to prove to Jihoon’s parents that they should be wed. They definitely have challenges ahead, including the language barrier and the fact that Jihoon hasn’t proposed yet. Jihoon’s family definitely isn’t happy about their son having a child out of wedlock.
Jihoon and his parents are coming to America for a week to visit and get to know Deavan better. She is worried that they won’t give her their blessing because she isn’t an ideal match for their son. The pressure is on because she isn’t going to uproot her life to move to South Korea without a commitment. At least, she won’t have to be in hiding from his family like Jenny in India. I think when you move to another city, let alone country it is important to have support. Jihoon lives with his parents, so he will have to convince them to accept his love.
Jenny, 60 (Palm Springs, California) & Sumit, 30 (India)
Jenny and Sumit decide to go shopping for clothes. It’s Jenny’s first ride in a rickshaw and she almost has a heart attack. While shopping, she and Sumit disagree on the style of dress she should wear. Jenny feels Sumit is trying to turn her into an older traditional Indian woman. In his mind, he just wants to try to help her fit in. I don’t care what she wears; it’s still obvious she is a foreigner. Unless she has an invisibility cloak, there is still a chance Sumit’s family will discover their secret.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK RONALD IS READY TO BE MARRIED AND HAVE A FAMILY SO SOON AFTER REHAB FOR HIS GAMBLING ADDICTION? DO YOU THINK COREY SHOULD GO BACK HOME AFTER EVELIN’S MISTREATMENT OF HIM SO EARLY ON? WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE NEW 90 DAY FIANCE THE OTHER WAY COUPLE JIHOON AND DEAVAN?
