Former Real Housewives of Orange County star, Meghan Edmonds has had a rough go. Recently, she spent a nerve-wracking day at the hospital with her son, Hart. Meghan shared with her Instagram followers that he was in the hospital for an MRI. Thankfully, the results were good. The hospital visit was made awkward given Jim Edmonds’ presence. The week prior to this event, news of Jim’s sexting scandal broke.
If you’ve been living outside of Bravo-land, Jimmy “Dad Jeans” Edmonds was caught sexting another woman five years into their marriage. All while Meghan was pregnant with their twins. It’s safe to say, Meghan has her hands full with the couple’s three young children. Her daughter Aspen is two, and twins Hart and Hayes are one. Everyone, including the OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson, has had something to say. This scandal is not dying down. Especially because the other woman has now been identified.
The woman on the receiving end of Jim Edmonds’ sexts is Jennifer McFelia Villegas. Meghan, always punctual, has responded to the news of the woman’s identity. In a statement to Us Weekly, Meghan said, “I only blame my husband for his actions: he made the choice to betray my trust and jeopardize our marriage.”
Meghan is not here to mince words or misplace blame. “His recklessness also allowed this woman to profit from my heartbreak — but now that her name is out there, she won’t be able to shake down any other families as I rebuild mine,” Meghan shared with Us Weekly.

She has a point. Now that the woman has been identified, wives of athletes can look out! Apparently, this is not Jennifer’s first rodeo. Us Weekly quoted multiple sources that had the first-hand experience with Villegas. One woman quoted was (the operative word here) wife of a minor-league baseball player. He also involved himself with Villegas.
The ex-wife described her encounter with Jennifer to Us Weekly this way: “This is not just a jersey chaser who is impressed by a potential big-name athlete and wants to sleep with him… It was a whole mastermind manipulation scheme.” Basically, the Us Weekly story portrays Jennifer like Glen Close in Fatal Attraction.

Another insider that spoke to Us Weekly shared that MLB security had actually banned Jennifer “from individual parks,” because of inappropriate conduct. In spite of her perceived penchant for being “the other woman,” I’m with Meghan. Jim did this to himself. Instead of digging into Jennifer’s past, why not dig into Jim’s?
He is, after all, the only person responsible for his stupid actions. The more stuff that comes out about this woman might detract people from Jim’s role in the scenario. Let’s keep in mind that he made this story happen.
