Last week marked the return of the notorious Ashley Jacobs to Southern Charm. Thomas Ravenel’s loose cannon ex was invited by Eliza Limehouse to a gathering at her family’s country home. Ashley managed to anger or offend nearly everyone there. Things got even worse once she actually started to speak to the guests!
However, the two Southern Charmer’s whom Ashley has had the most drama with (besides Thomas) weren’t even at the gathering. Kathryn Dennis was at her brother’s wedding–a lucky break for her! Ashley’s other arch nemesis, grande dame Patricia Altschul, must have declined the invite–or maybe she had a previous luncheon engagement at McDonald’s. Patricia might not have been at the gathering, but she shared her thoughts about Ashley on social media before the episode aired. Needless to say, they weren’t warm and fuzzy accolades.
Patricia shaded Ashley in an Instagram post, stating,”All aboard for the #crazytown express.. tonight @bravotv # Southern Charm # don’t be afraid.” The post was accompanied by a picture of Ashley looking less than her best. You might remember the photo–of a gaunt and wild-haired Ashley–that she actually posted to her own Instagram account last year. For God knows what reason.
On the last season of Southern Charm, Patricia and Ashley seemed friendly and even went dress shopping together. The budding friendship was not destined to last, however. By the spring of 2018, Thomas and Ashley had fallen out with Patricia and both sides took digs at each other on social media.
Matriarch Patricia claimed that when she watched Season 5 and saw Ashley’s bad behavior, she was appalled. And by this time, sexual assault allegations were swirling around Thomas. So, it is logical that Patricia might distance herself from the toxic twosome. Except for occasional social media commentary, of course! Like the kind Patricia served up last week.

Ashley quickly found out that Patricia had trolled her on social media once again and she responded in kind on her Instagram Stories. Did we expect her to remain silent or take the high road? Probably not.
Instagram users twojudgeygirls shared a screenshot of Ashley’s reply to Patricia. She declared, “If I ever make it to 80 yrs old and you see me posting a picture of a 34-year-old girl (from a reality tv show) on my social media…Please put a pillow over my head, and hold it there. Thx.” Admittedly, maybe not the best response from someone whose profession is nursing.

Patricia had to have known that Ashley would take her bait. 34-year-old girl Ashley is not someone who takes kindly to criticism. Or social media slams. Maybe Patricia just wanted to add a little spice to what has largely been a lackluster season of Southern Charm.
So far, this round of feuding between Patricia and Ashley has not escalated any further. It is unclear how much Ashley will be on Southern Charm this season, so there is always the opportunity for more back and forth between the ladies. What is clear is that Ashley should probably not expect an invite to lunch with Patricia at McDonald’s any time soon!
