The premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County is right here and viewers can expect to see a lot of changes in Season 14. Some of us, only me are still reeling from the fact that Vicki Gunvalson – OG of the OC – is featured as a friend of the housewives. Along with that, there’s the addition of Braunwyn Windham-Burke – a name so long and luxurious she sounds like a character in a Jackie Collins novel. At least we’ll get to watch Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd on the prowl. We will, however, have to put up with Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson again.
This IS MY OPINION! (trademark Tamra Judge) but I really could have done without Emily and Gina. I feel like they were asked back because Evolution (the production company) wants to prove they made a solid casting decision. Either way, wimp Shane Simpson will, unfortunately, be gracing our screens with his presence again. His wife Emily has been on the interview round to promote RHOC and she’s not holding back.
In an interview on The Domenick Nati Show Emily answered some tough questions. For example, Emily was asked which of her co-stars were the least trustworthy. She responded, “I’m just going to group them all together. The Tres Amigas are just out for themselves. So, I don’t trust them as a whole, as a group.”
She continued, “they self-proclaim themselves the Tres Amigas. They stick together very tightly and they don’t like to go outside their group. So, I would be leery of trying to infiltrate that group.”

Saying they “self-proclaim” to be the Tres Amigas sounds as though Vicki, Shannon, and Tamra are only friends for the show. Whether or not Emily is correct, her response shows major backbone. The season hasn’t even begun!
Emily also shared with Domenick Nati that Shannon is the most different when the cameras are rolling. She said, “I just know that some of the other women have made comments that Shannon Beador is very different when she’s not filming.” Which women? My money is on Tammy Sue.

“That is just things that I’ve heard from other people that are closer to her than I am,” Emily continued. “I don’t know her very well, we still don’t talk very much,” she said. It sounds like she has yet to cultivate a real relationship with Shannon.
One relationship that has evolved is Emily’s relationship with Kelly. “The viewers this season are going to be surprised because Kelly and I have no issues,” she shared on the show.

Emily said, “I consider Kelly to be one of my closest friends, so it’s definitely done a 360. It’ll be interesting to watch.” This will definitely be interesting. Emily added as a joke, “I’m not the kind of girl that holds grudges. I threaten to kill people and then I move on pretty easily.”
Sounds like the opposite of her frenemy Shannon. Who knows, maybe Emily will deliver the goods this season. I’m interested to see how the group dynamics play out here. I’m an RHOC loyalist, so I’m always hopeful for a good season.
