Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is a lot of things. Teddi is a mother, with a current bun in the oven. She is a holder of all things accountable. And she is one of the stars of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. What Teddi is not is a fashion model. By this I mean, her career has not centered around having cigs for breakfast and catching the red eye to Milan to serve as a high end designer’s muse.
Teddi recently did her BFF Kyle Richards a favor. Kyle debuted a breathtaking collection of bedsheets caftans that were part of her Kyle + Shahida line at New York Fashion Week. Because Kyle is no dummy and wanted to utilize every moment of exposure, she adorned her co-stars in various prints and sent them down the catwalk. Newly pregnant Teddi delighted in helping her friend and sailed down the runway in a stunning robe. I’m pretty sure it was a robe… Turns out, her walk might have caught more attention than the frock she was wearing,
Teddi might not be the most beloved Housewife in the franchise, but let’s try to get a grip here. Sure Teddi has some things that aren’t particularly in her favor. Should Teddi’s darksided allegiance with Kyle be criticized? Maybe. Should Teddi’s involvement in the Incident We Will Never Speak Of Again face scrutiny? Perhaps. Should the mechanics of Teddi’s gait find her in a deluge of insulting comments? Eh, we probably have better things to do.
According to Teddi’s Instagram, people felt some kind of way about how her stuff was strutted during Kyle’s show. She posted a video of her walk, along with the caption, “Last weekend I had the opportunity to walk in a fashion show during NYFW. Now, I am no model— I can barely walk down the street properly— but I walked out there feeling good and excited to support my friend.”

Unfortunately, that excitement dwindled. Teddi admitted, “That quickly shifted when I was hit with the barrage of memes and insta comments throwing negativity at me and my walk.” I would like to take a moment to remind you guys that BFF Kyle was the first to publicly bring attention to Teddi’s ambulating skills.
Teddi continued, “I can definitely make fun of myself and am in on most jokes but sometimes it just gets to be too much. So I had a big ole cry and felt truly embarrassed— until I remembered this @brenebrown quote: ‘If you aren’t in the arena getting your ass kicked, I’m not interested in your feedback.’ And you know what, I am so damn proud of myself for having the courage to step out of my comfort zone, especially at 15-weeks pregnant in a flesh-colored bodysuit, and do my very best.”

She concluded, “We cannot control other’s actions, we can only control our own. So now, I’m just gonna smile brighter and keep on strutting. Shoutout to @kylerichards18 for absolutely killing it with @kyleandshahida! Such an amazing accomplishment.”
Um. Okay, so Teddi rides horses on an English saddle. Newsflash, constantly riding horses makes you bowlegged. It just does. Also, Teddi is probably very hormonal due to her new pregnancy and most likely incredibly sensitive. Did Teddi look bad? No. Should Teddi be shunned away from society because she doesn’t effortlessly float down a runway? Sigh, no.

There didn’t seem to be any horrific comments on Teddi’s post, but perhaps she went on a deleting binge. There was an ironic show of support from Real Housewives of Orange County star, Tamra Judge. She shared, “That’s horrible. People suck! Don’t let the mean people in this world bring you down. Big hugs.” Hahahaha, “mean people in this world“. I hope we all got a kick out of that one.
One time, I tripped over my own feet in the middle of a crowded mall. Looked like I was having a seizure even though I tried to turn it into a low budget Fosse number. I can say nothing about how anyone walks. Teddi will surely give us many things to denounce and reprimand her for in the next season of RHOBH. I feel fairly confident her walking won’t be one of them.
