To say that it’s been a tough year for Kathryn Dennis would not be descriptive enough. The Southern Charm star has really gone through it. This past year has been dominated by her very public custody issues with her ex Thomas Ravenel, who also spent a majority of the year facing sexual assault charges. I feel like that man basically lived at the courthouse.
Kathryn and Thomas co-parent their kids Kenzie and Saint. It hasn’t been smooth sailing though. They have been battling it out for custody and accusing each other of some nasty things in a super public forum. However, things have finally turned around for our favorite redhead, which she discussed in an exclusive interview with Reality Tea during BravoCon.
Recently, she tweeted, “Just want to let my fans hear from me officially that Thomas and I have resolved all matters related to our children. I believe that this joint custody arrangement is in our children’s best interests. Happy to move forward. Thank y’all for all of your patience, support & love -kd.”
Thomas retweeted it and co-signed. And just like that, their many issues have (hopefully) come to an end.

During the first day of BravoCon, we asked Kathryn, “How are you doing now?” She told us, “I’m doing really well. I’m happy and my life is moving forward. And it feels really good to say that and mean it for the first time in a really long time.” Awww. It really is so nice to hear some good news about Kathryn’s life for a change.
Don’t get me wrong, as an obsessive reality TV viewer, I’m all about the drama, but I’m here for the fun drama. I like light shade, love triangles, and fighting in costume during a themed party. In contrast, the drama between Thomas and Kathryn just got way too dark. Both on and off-screen. Let’s hope that things stay this good for Kathryn.
