Candiace Dillard Maintains She Did Nothing To Provoke Monique Samuels Into A Physical Altercation

Alternate title considered for this article: Candiace Dillard Says She Did Not Want Monique Samuels To Turn Her Into A Swiffer Wet Jet. Let me be completely transparent, I do not condone violence. There is rarely a logical reason for violence. Violence as a whole impacts our society and lowers the standards of humanity. But right now, the Real Housewives of Potomac are walking a fine line being the judge, jury, and executioner of Monique in the aftermath of Hell In A Cell.

Viewers are experiencing the fallout of the fight between Monique and Candiace, but the public is very divided. This is not easy because there is no winning hand. Candiace of the “I Can Talk Shit All Day” Dillards vs Monique “Good Thing I Didn’t Have An Umbrella” Samuels. Monique seems to have kind of taken responsibility for her part and says she wants to move forward. But Candiace is still wondering what the hell got her here. Mother Dorothy’s purse has entered the group chat.

During a therapy session, Candiace was asked, “Do you think you did anything to contribute to the physical part?” Candiace replied, “Again, the answer is no.” I get it. She was physically attacked, it was humiliating. People who talk the talk very rarely walk the walk. Unfortunately for Candiace, Monique had her walking boots on. I felt for Candiace, standing there with her hair looking like she took a wrong turn on the walk of shame. Monique could have taken the high road, but the same can be said of Candiace.

Candiace added, “When we want to have a conversation about accountability in engaging in contentious arguments — you’ll see more of that later this season — but I absolutely contributed with my verbal gymnastics to this incident. And if every time someone says something that the other doesn’t like, we want to justify it with physical violence, we have a problem. But let’s double and triple down some more on what I ‘deserved’.” I’m not sure Candiace considered the notion that people wouldn’t be 100% on her side. If Ashley Darby had launched herself across the table when a butter knife was thrown her way, would beating Candiace’s ass been justified then?
