Out of the recent couples from 90 Day The Other Way, Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee were not a favorite of mine. Deavan never seemed to be happy and Jihoon was a bum. I’m not sure what she expected to happen when she moved their young family to South Korea. Especially knowing that Jihoon had an iffy past when it came to money.
And like we all expected, it blew up in her face. Jihoon was paying off debt and giving whatever money he made to his mom. They fought constantly. She also had a miscarriage, which I’m sure caused additional strain. Then she left with the kids to come back to the U.S. to get some space. Which basically turned into her immediately meeting someone new and having her kids call him Dad.
But since they have become estranged, Deavan and Jihoon’s story has taken an even darker turn. Deavan had been on Instagram making allegations about what happened to her daughter, Drascilla. But now she’s speaking out about what the claims they suffered while living with Jihoon.
Deavan and her rep recently told Us Weekly, “Police have received the evidence of abuse and are taking it very seriously and working with us closely. The investigation is ongoing. So, we will not be able to speak further.” Deavan, who had Drascilla from a previous relationship, also has a son with Jihoon. To be clear, the allegations of abuse are associated with Drascilla.

Jihoon’s lawyer, Joseph Alamilla, responded to the claims. He said, “Deavan herself indicates that she was not there when it happened and so given the length of time between the incident and her lack of first-hand knowledge. He denies the allegations and is actively seeking documentation concerning any alleged proof.”
His lawyer continued, “She did not make a complaint while she lived there and only filed the complaint after he filed his answer and counterclaim in this case.” According to the attorney, she waited to file this complaint nearly a year and a half after leaving Jihoon.
The attorney went on, “We are presently seeking to obtain records of the actual complaint and should have an update after we receive the documents. It is unclear why she would wait so long to make such an allegation, but again we should have more information soon. Jihoon is actively seeking these records to clear his good name.” So this is why Jihoon has been busy raising $10K on a Go Fund Me page.

This mess all came to a head back when it was revealed that Deavan and Jihoon wouldn’t take part in the show’s tell all. At the time, Deavan wrote an Instagram post referencing what was going on. In the post, Deavan addressed the backlash against her. She said, “You don’t know what happened behind closed doors, you don’t know the type of evil that happened. I’m sick of being attacked and blamed and being told I’m [a] horrible person and I took my son away. You guys don’t know the half of it.”
She concluded the post, “My daughter is healing and I’m healing. Something bad happened that can never be forgiven. I’m done, I’m sick of the lies, I’m sick of pretending it’s OK, I’m done.” And she definitely is done. Like I said earlier, she has moved on to Topher Park, someone a source close to the couple describes as “a hard worker and has fully stepped in as the father role.”
As for how this legal case plays out, stay tuned for details. I hope that whatever happened, the truth comes out.
