Does anyone else have whiplash from all the news Porsha Williams has been providing us as of late? The Real Housewives of Atlanta star stunned fans when she recently announced her engagement to Simon Guobadia. The truth is, we don’t know what to be more pressed about. The fact that Porsha claims they have only been together for a month (doubtful). Or that Simon just so happens to be soon-to-be ex-husband of Falynn Guobadia. You know, the Falynn that Porsha brought onto RHOA after she hung out in her pool. Of course, Porsha is trying to spin that. She made a point to address it in her Instagram post announcing their engagement. Porsha wrote, “Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled.”
Fans were understandably not too happy about Porsha’s choices. Porsha faced some major backlash. Even former costar NeNe Leakes walked back her congratulations once she found out the deets. But not only has this produced a big fat ring for Porsha, but it also got her a three part spin-off. So I guess Bravo could care less about the optics of it all. Then again, this is the whole point of Bravo programming.
Speaking of what Bravo thinks, Andy Cohen recently told Entertainment Tonight his thoughts on the matter. Andy said, “I think it’s wild, man. I’m staying tuned. I can’t wait to find out more.” We all know Andy is loving every second of this. No point in pretending he doesn’t.
One person who might not be so thrilled at the unfolding drama is the woman who was reportedly with Simon days weeks before his engagement to Porsha. We told you about it after some super sleuths online compared the woman’s Instagram with Simon’s and determined they were out and about on the town. And I’m not talking about going to church. They were clearly dating.

The woman in question, Jessica Harris, even spoke out about it. She told Baller Alert of her dealings with Simon, “I just thought I was going on a date with a guy with a nice a** car. I really didn’t think anything of it.” She added, “I would never have thought that he was getting engaged.”
One person who is trying to stay out of the drama is Falynn herself. She finally spoke on the matter a few days after the news came out. Her rep read a statement from Falynn to Entertainment Tonight. Falynn shared, “I am focusing on finalizing my divorce and healing. Sending positivity to all of you.”

Let’s be real – Falynn is the victim in all this, despite Simon trying to change the conversation and accuse her of cheating on him. Even if she did, that’s no excuse to be posting about loving your wife in January and engaged to another woman in May. Falynn herself even said at the end of March that the two were still working on their marriage. Which would put that right around the time Porsha is claiming they started dating.
Anyway, all this drama is sure to make next season of RHOA one for the ages. And I will be watching every second of it, mess and all.
