I miss Selling Sunset. I was late to the game, started it when the pandemic hit and then binged all three seasons in a matter of a week. I couldn’t get enough of mean girls drama, dressed up under the guise of selling multi-million dollar houses. And despite villain Davina Potratz leaving the Oppenheim group , I need to know what happens with her $70M+ listing. Good thing she will still be on the show because I regularly think about that listing.
Another villain that emerged amongst the group was Christine Quinn. Where do I even start with her? Personality as icy as her hair color and fashion as sharp as her tongue. I really started out liking her assertive attitude, but she lost me when she was so cruel to Chrishell Stause. Who mercilessly picks on someone going through a nasty divorce? A coworker to boot.
Despite my feelings on Christine, the one thing I can’t deal with is mommy shaming. To catch you up, Christine married her millionaire, got pregnant and went on to have a baby boy. As a woman with a busy career, she headed back to work selling real estate a week after giving birth. And that’s when the mommy-shamers came out in full force.
As reported by Us Weekly, Christine recently defended herself on E!’s Daily Pop. She said, “The mom-shamers are real, that’s for sure. I’ve gotten people who are like, ‘Oh, I’m so happy you’re getting back to work, that’s great!’ And then I have people who are like, ‘You need to give your body time to recover and heal, and who’s taking care of the baby?'” Why does anyone care who is taking care of her baby? She has a husband and a nanny. It’s not like she’s leaving her kid home alone.

She continued, “I’m like, ‘Listen, my husband’s amazing. He’s home, the baby’s sleeping.’ For me, I love to work. There are single moms out there every single day working two, three jobs, doing it. Women are so strong, and they can do it. For me, I’m happy to be working. I’m thrilled to have a job, and I’m thrilled to have a baby and be able to do it all.”
Sounds like Christine isn’t letting any of the negativity get her down. Which can be hard for a new mom trying to manage their new lifestyle change. But we all know that Christine is super confident and unwilling to take crap from anyone. Like her or not, she’s got a boss attitude. And isn’t that what makes her great on the show?

Regardless of the hate, Christine is letting everyone know that shaming moms is unacceptable. She concluded, “I think that’s really the message here: Women really can do it all.” Amen to that.
