Bershan Shaw Calls Co-Stars “Boring Grandmas”; Real Housewives Of New York Fans Agree

What the hell is happening to the Real Housewives of New York? What was once a top-tier Real Housewives city has become, and it pains me to say this, pretty boring and forgetful. I don’t blame it all on the ladies, though — the COVID-19 pandemic hit NYC hard and the women are feeling the blues. Filming was halted a handful of times because of coronavirus and I commend the group for finishing a season under such stressful circumstances. But I’m still here to throw a little shade because it’s clear the group is NOT bringing their A-game.

RHONY is pretty different this year. I’m still wondering what we’re even doing here without Dorinda Medley. Eboni K. Williams is trying her best to educate the women, but professional runner Ramona Singer isn’t having it. And while I appreciate Eboni’s efforts and the pressure she’s under as the first Black New York housewife, it’s not exactly bringing the best out of the ladies. I need more of Eboni and Sonja Morgan hunting men and less of Leah McSweeney using Eboni’s arguments in an attempt to seem woke and shade Miss Mona. And while I know there’s a lot of Leah hate out there right now, I feel for her too. Especially after she came out of the gate guns blazing last season, and is going through a lot of personal growth this year.

But honestly, I can’t believe I’m saying this, I’m so bored with RHONY. The drama is a minimum or seems pretty contrived. The group is too small and there’s a disconnect with the OG trio of Sonja, Ramona and Luann de Lesseps, particularly when it comes to Leah. They’re a hard bunch to break your way into, so Eboni and her fellow newbie Bershan Shaw are trying their best.

The ladies went to Salem, Massachusetts during this week’s episode, and it ended with a fight almost as spooky as their dinner setting. It was a lot, but hopefully next week we see them get into more fun witchy business. However, based on the preview, it doesn’t seem likely. And Queen Bershan came right out and told her co-stars that their group is “a little bit boring” and referred to them as acting like “grandmas.” Someone had to say it!

And fans on Twitter couldn’t get enough of the new friend-of calling them out just like that. “Bershan calling them BORING in the preview is ALL of us,” one fan wrote. “‘The group is a little bit boring’ — honey if that I know understatement,” tweeted another. No lies detected. Hopefully, Bernshan’s open personality and infectious positivity rubs off on the ladies so they remember how to be entertaining again.

The tweets continued to flood in, and they weren’t very kind to the RHONY group. “Bershan calling all the ladies boring is the highlight of the season so far bc it’s so true,” a fan wrote. “I agree wholeheartedly with Bershan!! These hoes are BORING,” another wrote. Lu is probably reading the tweets and wondering why so many people are being “uncool” this season.

Bershan in the previewing calling them grandmas and boring, she’s literal perfection,” a viewer tweeted. Others were glad to see the newbie step up and call the girls “boring to their face because it’s true.” It just goes to show that even OGs can have a bad season, and this is definitely one of them. Bershan calling them out on it is the first step to making RHONY Fun Again. And we learned so far that Holla Heather Thomson is NOT the answer.
