Braunwyn Windham-Burke is now able to relax. She no longer has to showboat relationships outside of her marriage, will never have to see Kelly Dodd in person again, and can continue her journey to sobriety without being ridiculed by co-workers or strangers. Bravo did Real Housewives of Orange County and the viewing audience a solid by not renewing Braunie’s contract, but it might be Sean Burke who beats the final boss.
Braunwyn was almost certainly guaranteed another season to test the boundaries of traditional marriage and fight with everyone. In her quest to have 19 storylines at once, the facade cracked and Bravo pulled the plug because, liability. It’s one thing to have someone going to AA meetings on the show, but it’s quite another to have them detox on camera. So Braunwyn was let go and the facade went ahead and fell apart. If cameras aren’t following you, are you really married? For Braunwyn and Sean, the answer appears to be no.
Well you certainly didn’t need a Magic 8 Ball to see this coming. Braunwyn and Sean wanted to redefine marriage in an open, carefree environment. Translation: Braunwyn wanted to have her attention cake and eat it too. Sean, on the other hand, was supposed to remain supportive of his wife who announced to the world she was never attracted to men. Sean made public displays of support and pledged his unwavering love to the mother of his children, while she held hands with chicks on the beach and was papped by TMZ.
Did I mention Sean wasn’t allowed to explore his own interests outside of their relationship? Braunwyn made sure to let everyone know she was allowed to branch out and Sean was allowed to stay home. Now it’s time for Sean to live his best life because Sean and Braunwyn are having another “trial separation”. I say “another” because they’ve played this game before. According to Page Six, on an Instagram Live, Sean and Braunie announced plans to part ways and co-parent their brood.

During the summer, Braunwyn will take the kids to live in Hawaii for 2 months while Sean is going to rent a crib in Newport Beach which is owned by a friend of Braunwyn’s girlfriend. Sean, my dude, get your own place and cut the ties that bind you. Braunwyn said, “We are packing up this house, the one we filmed in last year, and we are moving. We have decided jointly that we are going to take a few months apart”.
Braunwyn says the couple are “putting their children first”, I mean, it’s about time. “What we are doing right now is really healthy for them. I am taking my kids for six or seven weeks and when they come back, they will have a place at their father’s,” she said. Kauai is “like a second home” to the family and they may or may not purchase a permanent residence so the kids can stay in one spot and the parents will take turns living there.

Braunwyn added, “We really want to do what’s best for us — we are family, we’ve been together for 26 years. That’s a lot and that’s something we don’t want to minimize — we want to honor that. I think having some space right now will give us some clarity”. Clarity called and wants you to get a divorce, sweetie. As for Sean, he’s “excited about getting my own place and figuring out the rest of our lives”. Sean is also looking forward to not being randomly hit during an argument and now having available space to display his impressive statement necklace collection. Congrats, Sean!
