It’s time for Big Brother fans to rejoice. We don’t have to wait until summer to get our fix of hamster wheels and fish tanks. Celebrity Big Brother is back after a two-year hiatus. And it looks like it’s going to be a doozy. Season 3 is set to start on February 2nd and run throughout the month of Feb.
While Celebrity Big Brother runs for a shorter period of time than its summer counterpart, more episodes are shown throughout the week. And let’s face it, it’s not the number of episodes or time we are interested, but the motley cast that’s thrown together. In one small house. With no way out. Other than by being voted least likeable celebrity by their fellow housemates.
There has been much speculation about which C (D?) list celebrities would be joining the Big Brother house this season. NeNe Leaks was widely thought to be a front runner, but quickly shut that rumor down. Ever thirsty Tamra Judge had everyone questioning if she or podcast co-host Teddi Mellencamp could possibly be entering the house. And almost every list included Lamar Odom for some reason.
We don’t have to wonder any longer. Thanks to E! News we now have the skinny. The new cast was revealed during last night’s episode of The Amazing Race. And its full of “things that make you go hmmm” moments.
For starters, NeNe is not part of the cast, however longtime Real Housewives of Atlanta nemesis Cynthia Bailey is. Interesting turn of events, no?
And it turns out that this time Tamra wasn’t just blowing smoke to get a reaction. Teddi will be on the show as well. I can’t say I have high hopes for her lasting long, considering the reaction her appearance on the newest season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip caused. Despite what Kyle Richards may think, Teddi just doesn’t make for fun tv to watch. However, I am curious to see if she mentions how after her time on Celebrity Big Brother, Dina Lohan, was hot to hook up with Teddi’s father.

Lamar is indeed part of the cast. As is another Keeping Up With The Kardashians connection. Shanna Moakler, ex-wife of Travis Barker, current fiancé Kourtney Kardashian. To be a fly on the wall for their conversations. Oh wait… This I’m excited to see.
Rounding out the housemates will be, “original Queer Eye expert Carson Kressley, NSYNC alum Chris Kirkpatrick, singer Todrick Hall, actor Todd Bridges, figure skater Mirai Nagasu, UFC champ Miesha Tate and comedian Chris Kattan.”
I totally enjoyed watching Carson on Celebrity Apprentice so I’m looking forward to what he will bring to the table here. Plus, he starred with Kyle on his season, so I’m sure there will be some sort of connection to Teddi through that. Who knows, maybe I’ll be wrong about her. But as of now, I’m not holding my breath.
