Dolores Catania is entering a new chapter of her life on Real Housewives of New Jersey. After multiple seasons of being emotionally neglected by ex-boyfriend, David Principe, she finally ditched him. To the relief of the entire cast it seems. Even ex-husband/roomate Frank Catania admitted that David “sucks as a boyfriend.” You can say that again. David might have given Dolores a Porsche, but you can’t buy someone’s time and energy. And Dolores can finally shed the storyline of not getting what she wants out of a romantic partner.
But now Dolores’ ex and Teresa Giudice’s fiancé, Luis “Louie” Ruelas might have something uncomfortable in common. On a recent appearance on What What Happens Live, Dolores was put in the hot seat about David.
Host Andy Cohen started, “We’re getting this everywhere. Apparently, there’s a rumor that David is dating Louie’s ex.” Dolores mysteriously replied, “I think there’s a connection. I don’t that it’s the ex that we’ve heard of. I don’t know. I need to research this maybe. I don’t know.” Dolores added, “David’s dating a girl named Vanessa.”

Ok, so Dolores is giving us next to nothing when it comes to information. It’s possible she doesn’t really know. Or it’s possible she no longer cares. She wasted plenty of time on David and seems to be happy with a new man in her life. She really does seem ready to move on. I considered the theory that maybe Dolores isn’t thrilled to share this connection with Louie. Because the cast (not to mention fans) have been wary of Louie from the start. There’s the unsettling video of Louie at “warrior camp.”
Then the latest episode did him no favors when Teresa left the cast on their trip down the shore. Why did he want her to turn her mic off? And why did he drive all the way down there just to make her leave with him?
But Dolores has spoken very highly of Louie in the past. Back in June, she gushed of Teresa and Louie, “Oh my God she’s the happiest person I ever met in my life right now — she’s extremely happy.”

She also called the couple “a match made in heaven.” And it doesn’t seem that anything has changed during that time. Although we all know Dolores is a soldier for Teresa. So would she even express disapproval if she felt it? Unclear.
Either way, it seems that Dolores is ready to write a new storyline on and off screen. And I think that’s something we all want to see for her.
