One’s weekly time commitment to Bravo just expanded exponentially. If you’re a network junkie like yours truly, and have a passion for all the offerings from Andy Cohen, 2022 is shaping up to be the year for you. Not only are series favorites returning for another season, but a whole new lineup of shows was just announced on May 12th.
Entertainment Tonight revealed the exciting new shows to be offered. Southern Charm: Leva Land will feature the newbie from Charleston based hit Southern Charm. Leva Bonaparte took center stage during Season 8 as she took on social justice issues lingering from Confederate times in Charleston. She notably held Kathryn Dennis accountable for questionable social media posts, as well as pushing the mother of two to come to terms with her own family’s history.
This show evokes a bit of Vanderpump Rules feel. It will focus on the drama and goings on at Republic Garden & Lounge, one of her four restaurants. It’s notably located on the trendiest street in Charleston. Sound familiar? It certainly will be interesting to see how Bravo decided to structure this show when the show premieres this fall.
No way would Bravo pass up an opportunity to expand on the highly successful Below Deck franchise. Below Deck Adventure will add some adrenaline to the highly successful formula. Think luxury yacht, overbearing guests, hot crew, mixed with daredevil activities. The first location is Norway, where the guests will paraglide, cave rappel, and cold-water plunge in the glacial fjords of the Nordic country. But no one skips the hot tub antics in the evening. This show will also premiere in Fall 2022.
Love Without Borders seems to be Bravo’s attempt at cashing in on TLC’s highly successful 90 Day Fiance series. Six single Americans will be paired with a “perfect” life partner. The catch? The significant other lives overseas, and the American partner must give up their job, home, family, and friend. By the end of the trial period, the participant will decide if the sacrifice is worth the risk. They can choose to return to the United States, or stay with the selected partner. Sort of like the fiance visa process.
I’m going to love seeing the City of Lights on Real Girlfriends in Paris. This girls-only cast will be made of 20 something Americans sent to experience all that the French capital has to offer. One assumes it will be all about hookups, but perhaps a bit of inspirational growth as well. Wouldn’t we all want to relive the promise of youth in one of the most beautiful cities in the world?
Bravolebrity Kandi Burruss will feature in XSCAPE/SWV, a show about ladies from famous R&B groups reuniting post-Verzuz performance. Female friendship will also be a huge theme here as the ladies maneuver varying milestones in their lives, both professional and personal. Fans can catch this series in winter 2022.
Looking ahead to early 2023, Bravo will delve into the world of competitive ballroom dancing. Life Is a Ballroom features a group of talented, driven, and highly focused amateur ballroom dancers.
Bravo also announced that the following shows will be renewed for new seasons, Vanderpump Rules, Summer House, Top Chef, Project Runway, Married to Medicine, Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Family Karma, Winter House, Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean, Real Housewives of Orange County, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Real Housewives of New York, Real Housewives of Potomac, and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
