When news dropped that Brandi Glanville had made a hasty exit from season 4 of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, fans weren’t surprised. What was surprising was that her castmate, former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo, also left before filming ended. There were reports of “drama,” but what else could we expect from a series full of Real Housewives coming together for an “Ultimate Girls Trip?”
Now Peacock is speaking out about what went down between the cast members. As reported by People, reps for both Peacock and Shed Media issued a shared statement on the incident. It read, “The safety and security of cast and crew while shooting is extremely important and we take all reports seriously. In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and is taking appropriate action.”
This comes after a report from a source that said Brandi, a reality TV veteran since first stirring up trouble on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, kissed Caroline without her consent. Said the source, “It was unwanted. And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi. Things escalated and physical boundaries allegedly were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable,” the insider added.
After the incident, production decided to report what happened to executives. Filming continued that night and through the next morning. A second source shared that Brandi became aware of Caroline’s discomfort and apologized via text.
That didn’t help her case though and Brandi was required to exit the show that afternoon. Another source added, “Brandi’s behavior was inappropriate. So she was asked to leave.”
Apparently, Caroline was unaware of the decision to remove Brandi. Later that evening, she decided she wanted to leave as well. One insider explained, “She needed to process this outside of the reality TV environment.”
Season 4 of the hit spin-off, which was formatted after season 2, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club, was filmed in Marrakech, Morocco. Other cast members included Vicki Gunvalson, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, Camille Grammer, Alex McCord and Gretchen Rossi. All who were said to be supportive of Caroline’s decision to leave.
Neither Brandi nor Caroline have issued their own statement, and as it stands, there is no release date for Season 4.
