Lisa Hochstein isn’t an original cast member of Real Housewives of Miami. That said, she has been on since Season 2 and viewers have gotten to know Lisa fairly well. During her time on the show, she’s been married to Dr. Lenny Hochstein, living a luxurious lifestyle while Lenny attends to the boob-impaired community.
I’m not sure Lisa has held a job outside of “fashionista” or Real Housewife, but she does know how to spend money. While Lisa enjoyed the facade of a “perfect marriage”, cameras have shown a lot of cracks along the way. Longtime fans of RHOM were less surprised about the end of Lisa’s marriage, as she and Lenny never appeared to be head over heels in love during production.
Ultimately the couple parted ways and it isn’t with hugs, kisses, and remaining friends. Lenny got himself a remodeled version of Lisa and she’s been struggling to pay the bills. He allegedly cut her off financially. During the recent Season 5 reunion, Andy Cohen asked Lisa if her “lavish spending” was a nail in the coffin of her marriage. Page Six has the details of her response.
Andy surprised us all when he asked a direct question. “Were there issues about how much money you spent on your lifestyle?” Listen, when Lea Black calls her Hermés plug and you get one on camera, you might as well go ahead and cop to it. Lisa said, “You know what? Yeah.” She then wanted everyone to know she “works for free” at Lenny’s Med Spa facility, adding “I wasn’t a do-nothing b**ch.” Okay, Jan.
Additionally, Lenny had an issue with Lisa’s active social life. ‘Ol Lenny apparently dropped the D word when Lisa sauntered in at 4 am after being out with her friends. Lisa argued her late nights only came around “maybe once a month” and Lenny “went out also.” Lisa and Lenny’s children have not yet entered the chat because I’m sure they have excellent nannies.
Ultimately Lisa and her co-stars don’t feel her extracurricular activities had anything to do with Lenny wanting a divorce and swiping right on his new fembot. It’s probably fair to say the distant-at-best relationship they’ve always had on the show was a major contribution.
While Lenny has a new woman, he’s repeatedly denied having an affair and maintains they only got together after the separation. After a very public display of grief at the loss of her meal ticket husband, Lisa rallied. Recently she began dating a 49-year-old entrepreneur and appears to be happy.
Lisa and Lenny’s ongoing divorce hit a roadblock over child and spousal support. She feels there is “no end in sight” and fears a long battle ahead. Hopefully, these two can get it together for their kids and come to some kind of peaceful agreement.
