The Summer House producers knew we needed Andrea Denver for some hunky Italian relief from all the drama going on in the Hamptons this year. Andrea took his charm and abs to the house to try to make peace among the group. They made it through his Italian dinner (even the tiramisu) without fighting this year. The after-dinner games were another story.
Even Andrea’s calming presence couldn’t stop the tension brewing in the house as a result of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s relationship. It exploded in a major fight between Lindsay and Amanda Batula during the latest episode, who are far from besties these days. Amanda is ready for Lindsay to exit her life in every possible way. Kyle Cooke, on the other hand, will stop at nothing to defend his wife. Even if it includes jeopardizing his friendship with Carl.
The Amanda and Lindsay fight only escalated tensions between Carlito and Kyle. We know after the LoverBoy of it all that more fighting is the LAST thing this friendship needed. Kyle opted to lash out at Lindsay while Carl got heat for not defending his girlfriend. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, The Italian Stallion gave his two cents about the massive blow-up.
Andrea provided some behind-the-scenes insight as to why Amanda may have gotten so emotional. She apparently had just received a call about her dogs prior to filming the scene which might have put her in a bad mood. Andrea was shocked at how quickly the mood of the group turned from good to so bad, which made him sad. We know that a sad Andrea is one of Summer House’s biggest travesties, so how dare they make our baby sad.
As for Carl and Kyle’s involvement in their spouses’ feud, Andrea has a few points. He defended Kyle’s stance of standing up for his loved one. “I think maybe a different approach would’ve been better, but I guess you can’t control emotion,” Andrea said. Wow, he has such a way with words. He should take over for Andy Cohen hosting reunions from here on out.
Anyway, Andrea did praise Carl for remaining calm amidst all the chaos. “Carl knows Kyle enough to understand that Kyle, in that moment, was really over the top because [he] was pretty drunk,” Andrea said. “He could have said something, but at the same time, I think in his own way [he had] a mature approach to the situation.” We know Danielle Olivera wouldn’t be quick to agree, but Andrea has a point. Who am I kidding? In my book, Andrea is always right.
