Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo continues to make headlines. She may not have been on RHONJ for years, but fans love hearing what she says. Now she is speaking out about her first impressions of Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile. Spoiler alert: Teresa Giudice is blamed for her initial dislike of the pair!
According to Reality Blurb!, Caroline was a guest on the April 7, 2023 episode of Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s Two T’s in a Pod podcast. She claimed she was “almost brainwashed.” Pointing the finger at fellow Real Housewives alum Teresa, she said, “It would always be something bad said about Melissa that we were so conditioned to dislike her when we met her.” Caroline added that this was “years and years before TV.”
In the end, Caroline “apologized to them both, saying, “‘That wasn’t cool,’ but I was conditioned to think that way.” She was of course referring to how she was perceived to have treated both Melissa and Kathy “poorly” when they first joined the show.
Caroline also reaffirmed that Melissa did say she was “too old” to return to Real Housewives. “I remember being bothered for half a second,” she admitted, and said she “kinda heard it through the door.” It’s all water under the bridge however, as she takes “no offense to it now. It’s silly.”
Perhaps the main reason behind Caroline and Teresa never making up was her upset over a situation in Punta Cana. She alleged that Teresa “sprayed champagne onto the ground” in a club. “There were patrons there that took offense to it, one thing led to another, before you know it there’s a brawl.” The end result was Caroline’s sons Albie Manzo and Chris Manzo having their passports revoked.
While chances of seeing Caroline back on RHONJ are slim, we will get to see her in Ultimate Girls Trip. Unfortunately, her vacation was cut short. Something sinister allegedly went down with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville. I can’t wait to watch all of that mess play out!
