90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days is one of the most unique 90 Day Fiancé spin-offs, that follows couples before their K-1 visa journeys begin. Before The 90 Days premiered in 2017, and has been a huge success with viewers ever since. While Season 6 just began airing, Before The 90 Days has supplied fans with five long seasons worth of content. Some seasons have been a huge success, although others have not been as enticing for viewers.
Before The 90 Days Season 1
Before The 90 Days Season 1 was a fun introduction to a new concept, but in the grand scheme of things, it falls short in comparison to the other seasons. Many of the couples from Season 1 were boring, and lacked real substance in their storylines. One of the most frustrating duos from Season 1 was Patrick Cornett and Myriam Mana, who were not even a real couple, since Myriam had a boyfriend.
Season 1 was the first time viewers were introduced to the iconic Darcey Silva, way back when she was with Jesse Meester. While Darcey has blown up in the franchise since then, Jesse was particularly difficult and annoying for viewers to watch. Another tiresome couples featured on Season 1 was Paul Staehle and Karine Staehle, who were never able to win over fans.
Before The 90 Days Season 5
While Before The 90 Days Season 5 may be the most recent full season of the spin-off, it does not mean that it is among the best. Season 5 featured several boring couples, many of whose storylines felt repetitive. The only couple to stay together from Season 5 was surprisingly Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda, who also undoubtedly carried the season.
Mike Berk and Ximena Morales had potential, but things quickly fell apart when Ximena admitted that she did not really love Mike. Usman Umar returned with newcomer Kim Menzies after appearing on Before The 90 Days Season 4, although their story quickly became tedious. The most frustrating couple from the season was Ella Johnson and Johnny Chao, who viewers were initially rooting for before Ella revealed that she had cheated on Johnny.
Before The 90 Days Season 2
Before The 90 Days Season 2 featured some of the same couples as Season 1, including Darcey and Jesse and Paul and Karine, but it was still a big improvement. Season 2 introduced viewers to Tarik Myers and Hazel Cagalitan, whose storyline included some memorable moments when Tarik visited Hazel in the Philippines for the first time.
The best part about Season 2, however, was the debut of the one and only Angela Deem, and of course Michael Ilesanmi. Angela and Michael went on to become one of the most well known couples from the franchise. While Angela is often controversial, there is no doubt that she still makes for interesting television.
Before The 90 Days Season 3
Season 3 was even more exciting than Season 2, and introduced a good mix of new couples for viewers to root for. Angela and Michael returned for Season 3, where Angela threw the infamous cake at Michael, in a truly unforgettable scene. Darcey also returned for Season 3, but with a new man, her English beau Tom Brooks. While Tom could be annoying at times, he was far more bearable than Jesse.
One of the most interesting couples introduced this season was Rebecca Parrott and her Tunisian love Zied Hakimi. Rebecca and Zied’s age gap originally had viewers unsure that they would last, but the couple certainly proved fans wrong. Zied proposed to Rebecca in one of the season’s most heartfelt moments, and the two later appeared on 90 Day Fiancé Season 8.
Before The 90 Days Season 4
When it comes to Before The 90 Days, there is just no question that Season 4 is the best of the best. Season 4 was the debut of Ed Brown, who goes down in history as one of the most infamous 90 Day Fiancé cast members. Ed traveled to the Philippines to meet his girlfriend Rosemarie Vega, although the two ultimately ended things after a heated argument.
Usman was also introduced during Season 4, with his ex-wife Lisa Hamme, and their story was much funnier than his later segments with Kim. Stephanie Matto and Erika Owens also appeared on Season 4, and made history as the couple’s first LGBTQ couple. Season 4 also mainly aired during the COVID-19 pandemic, and certainly gave viewers some good laughs while they were bored at home.
