Love Is Blind Season 5 may or may not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but there was at least one happy ending, in the case of Milton and Lydia. As the couple nobody thought would make it, Milton and Lydia persevered through all the drama and then some.
Co-star Aaliyah accused Lydia of coming onto the show to win her ex-boyfriend Uche back. Uche then tried to throw a wrench in the game when he told Milton that Lydia Insta stalked his friends. There was also the little matter of Milton’s family thinking Lydia was fake.
However, no one was going to stand in their way. The happy couple were the only ones to say “I do” at the alter. Milton and Lydia have defied the odds and are still together and thriving, even though they are now 1,500 miles apart.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder for Milton and Lydia
Lydia told PEOPLE, “Right now we’re really focused on our careers — I got a new job, it just started a month ago, he has a new job, has been there for a year but he just got relocated to Long Beach actually.” Let’s hope that Milton learned how to pick up his clothes off the floor without Lydia having to be there to do that for him.
The newlywed added, “We just miss each other so much, so every second that we have together, we try to really cherish it and try to be there as much as we can for each other when we are actually in the same place.” That is if she can pull Milton away from Pokemon Showdown.
Lydia reiterated how much she missed Milton. She said, “We really miss each other and it just makes you even love each other more. It’s so good to have him here when you come from work instead of being alone. It is your best friend so obviously you want to see them all the time.” Just don’t come home from work past 5:30pm!
She got a lot of heat for her behavior on the show towards Aaliyah. Still, Lydia noted she wouldn’t change a thing. Lydia stated, “I love my marriage. I am so happy today. And if everything that I did and said got me to the same result, I’m going to do it all over again the exact same way.”
