The Worst Performances From Real Housewives Who Are Actresses

Not everyone is on the Hollywood A-list and can act their way out of a paper bag like Jennifer Lawrence. As the saying goes, there are no small parts, only small actors. This applies to members of the Real Housewives, too. While some scenes take some extreme acting to get through the staged event, others have actually dabbled in the silver screen, but not every performance has been Oscar-worthy. These are the worst performances from Real Housewives actresses.

Kandi Burruss

The star of Xscape, Kandi Burruss, is a chameleon who can sing, act, dance, and do whatever she puts her mind to. However, not all her endeavors or performances have been up to par. Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, wrote and released his movie, The Pass, which, according to one review, Color We Mag was “brainless.” Again just because you have money doesn’t mean you should spend it on making crappy movies

After watching the movie, I could see it was hard for Kandi to put on a good show since the writing was deplorable. Kandi’s British accent is worse than Dick Van Dyke’s cockney accent from Mary Poppins, and that is saying something. Maybe she should stick to touring for a little bit.

Kenya Moore

The Gone with the Wind fabulous Kenya Moore may be great at bringing the drama to the ATL, but her acting chops have often been blasted by critics who feel she has no business standing in front of a movie camera. In 2000, Kenya starred in Trois, a sexy thriller about the before and aftermath of a threesome. Kenya played Jasmine, a wife to a cold husband who agrees to the tryst. However, Kenya’s performance was a typical B-movie performance that left fans lacking any real connection.

Sadly, the movie was just a rip-off of Fatal Attraction. Kenya’s appearance only seemed to prove that she wasn’t capable of more than two lines and that she may just be delusional to think she could ever be taken seriously in Hollywood. The mother of one is perfect for reality TV, just not scripted works.

Erika Jayne

The Pretty Mess singer may be a star in her own right, but she fell flat on her face when it came to her Broadway debut in Chicago as Roxie Hart. Erika Jayne has evidently been training her whole life for this role, which you never would have guessed since her vocals lacked any star power. However, I’d rather be in NYC, watching her in Chicago, than have to watch her Las Vegas residency.

The famed Broadway show had been running for decades, and the casting of Erika was purely to bring in the tourists who may have watched her on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—we call this stunt casting.

Eva Marcille

Eva Marcille was discovered on Tyra BanksAmerica’s Next Top Model, but she also segued into acting thanks to appearances on The Young and the Restless,  House of Payne, and Born Again Virgin. However, her recent acting gig in the BET original series All the Queen’s Men was a major letdown.

Even with Tyler Perry at the directing helm, the show just couldn’t be saved. Eva was given repetitive lines that came across as stiff. It was hard to ignore that Eva was clearly trying her best but failed with the terrible script.
