Not surprisingly, Erika Jayne’s split from ex Tom Girardi is still a hot topic of conversation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Quite frankly, she’s had enough.
“I’ve moved on these past three years,” Erika, 52, told US Weekly ahead of the premiere of the show’s new season. “But I don’t know if the others will let me move past. I still have legal things that are tying up, and they will take time, but that’s the legal process. But I want to move on.”

“Every time someone asked me about Tom Girardi or something like this, you realize you’re cutting open a healing wound and stabbing around in it,” Erika said. “And that hurts.”
She went on to add that she’s exhausted rehashing the same topics over and over again. It doesn’t matter who is asking, but whenever she sits down, someone will bring it up and say, “So tell us about this or look at this, what were you thinking?” Erika huffed, “Isn’t it obvious what I was thinking? That’s what I dislike.”
What she’s hoping for is to be allowed to heal. “I still will heal. It’s a process,” she shared. “Grief all the way around is a whole process that comes in waves. But what I am doing is I’m choosing to move on. I wish those around me would allow me to do so.”
Separation fallout
Erika split from Tom, 84, in November 2022 after 20 years of marriage. And a split is gossip fodder as is, but this split got significantly messier when Tom was named in a class action lawsuit against his former law firm about misusing funds for families of plane crash victims one month after their split.
Erika was never implicated or accused of a crime, but Tom faced further lawsuits and eventual disbarment. A year later, he was placed in his brother’s conservatorship after he was diagnosed with dementia and late-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
While technically, Erika and Tom are still married, the author and housewife said she’s doing her best to put the situation in the rearview despite sticking it out with Tom during his legal battles.
“I can’t change the fact that I was reactive,” Erika said. “I felt very cornered every day that I came to work. It is what it is.”
And despite her hoping for a fresh start, Erika honestly can’t think this is just going to go away. She should prepare to hear more because nothing has actually been resolved yet.
