It started at BravoCon. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne told a packed house that she thought castmate (and supposed friend) Dorit Kemsley and husband PK Kemsley would be the next couple to split.
She was wrong – Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky took the official honors. But now Dorit is left in the wake of rumor after rumor about her marriage. And what’s transpired on RHOBH this season hasn’t exactly helped. The latest episode of the hit franchise didn’t exactly paint the two as a loving couple that’s getting along.
But as Dorit told TV Insider, she’s unfazed. “I’ve been doing this for over seven years,” she explained. Dorit then added, “I am no stranger to rumors, and I don’t usually pay much attention [to them] … and I’m not debunking every rumor because I’d be chasing my tail.”
Denying the rumors
Regardless of that claim, Dorit did feel strongly enough about this round of rumors to issue a statement. Back in October, Dorit insisted, “We are focused on healing, making changes, and doing the things that many couples have to do at some point in their marriage.”
The Beverly Beach businesswoman also made it crystal clear that the couple is together. She stated, “We have not separated nor are we planning to do so. Rather, we are focused on healing, making changes, and doing the things that many couples have to do at some point in their marriage.”
Challenging times
About that statement, Dorit explained, “PK and I really wanted to immediately put out a statement just to stop this beast from happening, so people had the truth from our mouths.”
The longtime housewife concluded, “We’ve been very open and honest. The last couple of years have been very challenging for me, and it definitely had its challenges in our marriage. We talk about it. You will see that throughout the season.”
