So Ramona Singer wasn’t hanging out with her fellow Bravolebrities at BravoCon this year — and we all know why. And Kenya Moore, for one, is fine with Ramona’s absence.
“I wasn’t surprised,” Kenya said to US Weekly. “I mean, from being upfront and personal with her and the things she would say, I could just tell when someone is judging you or treating you a certain way because of your nationality and the color of your skin.”
Not a good person
In fact, more than just being fine, Kenya shared that she was “happy, actually,” about Ramona’s absence from BravoCon. “I just didn’t feel like she was a good person,” she said about her Ultimate Girls Trip co-star.
Ramona, 66, was one subject of an exposé by Vanity Fair in which she was accused of being racist and using the N-word in front of a Black crew member during the filming of The Real Housewives of New York City during Season 13. She then used a racial slur in an SMS message to another media outlet when asked about her response to the original article.
Not long after, Ramona was dropped from the BravoCon lineup.
In a rush of what can only seem like PR spinning, an insider revealed that Ramona had come to a mutual agreement with Bravo execs about her not attending the convention. But another source said that it wasn’t Ramona’s choice.
Ramona’s daughter, Avery, though, did make an appearance at BravoCon, and she had a booth at the Bravo Bazaar for Bach Boss.
“I think it was the right call,” Andy Cohen, executive producer on the Housewives franchise, said. He admitted to exchanging texts with Ramona following the scandal but didn’t share anymore about what they said.
Happy to be free from the drama
As for Kenya, she’s thrilled not to be involved in the drama.
“I don’t think I’m in the middle of anything. Am I? I don’t think so,” she said. “I mean, what do the streets say?” Uhm, the streets???
In either case, Kenya shared that while she’ll weigh in on the situation, she’s more focused on Brooklyn, her five-year-old daughter, and the launch of her first brick-and-mortar spa.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK RAMONA CAN COME BACK FROM THIS? DO YOU THINK SHE HAD A CHOICE IN NOT ATTENDING BRAVOCON?
