(Disney/Eric McCandless)

Hi again! It’s time for the Dancing with the Stars Season 32, Episode 10 recap! It’s the semi-finals, and all five couples will dance twice. Each couple will perform a ballroom dance and a Latin dance to try and win their way into the December 5 DWTS finale. The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy is nearly in reach for one dancing duo. Last week, Harry and his partner Rylee were booted from the ballroom during Taylor Swift Night. Here’s everything that happened in DWTS Season 32, Episode 10: The Semi-Finals!

Ariana and Pasha

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

First dance: Jive to Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars.

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana and her partner Pasha danced a fast-paced jive. She danced the fringe off her dress.

Judge Derek called it “fantastic.” Bruno proclaimed it a “runaway hit.” Carrie Ann called it “fabulous.”

Ariana scored 28 out of 30 points.

Second dance: Foxtrot to Trampoline by SHAED & ZAYN.

This foxtrot from Ariana and Pasha was fluid and entertaining. Derek called it “sensational.” He added that it was “captivating” and “wonderful.” Bruno complimented it as “brilliant.”

Carrie Ann exclaimed, “She’s baacckkk!” I didn’t know that Ariana was ever missing.

Ariana received 30 out of 30 points. Ariana’s first perfect score! Her total for the night was 58 out of 60 points.

Jason and Daniella

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

First dance: Viennese Waltz to I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz.

Singer Jason and Daniella performed a graceful and romantic Viennese Waltz to one of my favorite songs. Bruno noted that he danced like “a gentleman.”

Carrie Ann felt that she wanted more “emotional freedom” in his dancing. Derek said Jason’s routine was “a proper Viennese Waltz.”

Jason earned 27 out of 30 points. He became emotional when reflecting on everything that he had learned from Daniella.

Second dance: Paso Doble to Diablo Rojo by Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Daniella and Jason danced a strong and dramatic Paso Doble. Jason even did the knee walks!

Carrie Ann hugged Jason. She called their routine “magic.” Derek said this routine could carry them to the finals. Bruno called the performance “diabolical.”

Jason scored 30 out of 30 points. Their total for the night was 57 out of 60 points.

Xochitl and Val

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

First dance: Samba to the aptly-named Samba by Gloria Estefan.

Xochitl and Val performed a fun and fast-paced samba. Carrie Ann called it “spectacular” and called Xochitl “a star.” Derek “loved it.” And Bruno named her “the samba diva.” I feel some 10s coming on for these “bros.” And how cute is it that Val calls his partner “bro?”

Xochitl scored 30 out of 30 points.

Second dance: Waltz to La Vie en Rose by Lady Gaga.

Xochitl and Val’s waltz was emotion-driven and celebrated her journey on DWTS. Derek teared up while telling the duo “Len would have loved that dance. That was absolutely perfect.”

Bruno stated that Xochitl “is an artist.” Carrie Ann also broke down in tears. She “never wanted it to end.”

Xochitl earned 30 out of 30 points. Their total for the night was 60 out of 60 points. Perfection!

DWTS pros perform

The dancers who will be hitting the road for the DWTS Live 2024 Tour danced to Janelle Monáe’s song, Make Me Feel. This sexy routine was choreographed by Mandy Moore. Emma danced on a table and chair with four male pros. It must be Emma’s dream come true.

Charity and Artem

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

First dance: Rumba to Love The Way You Lie Part III by Skylar Grey.

The Bachelorette star Charity and her partner, Artem, danced a sensual rumba. It looks like Charity tapped into her feelings during this performance. Derek raved that she “made that look effortless.” But then he noted that there was a lack of connection.

Bruno objected and climbed onto Derek to demonstrate how Charity was all over Artem. Bruno felt that she was “emoting.” Carrie Ann commended her for having her “breakthrough.” She called it “artistry in motion.”

Charity scored 29 out of 30 points.

Second dance: Quickstep to BO$$ by Fifth Harmony.

This dancing duo’s quickstep was fresh and fun. Bruno complimented Charity’s “sass.” Derek gave his famous slow clap and noted her “energy and excitement.”

Charity received 30 out of 30 points. Her first perfect score! She has a total of 59 out of 60 points for the night.

Alyson and Sasha

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

First dance: Jive to Footloose by Kenny Loggins.

Alyson and Sasha danced a cute jive. That neon monstrosity of a display on the stage was distracting. Bruno loved the country-western flavor of the dance. He called out a couple of errors.

Carrie Ann praised her journey from a non-dancer to a dancer. Derek “can’t help but root for her.”

Alyson received 25 out of 30 points.

Second dance: Waltz to Come Away With Me by Norah Jones.

This waltz from Alyson and Sasha was elegant. Carrie Ann shared how proud she was of Alyson. Unfortunately, there was some unfancy footwork.

Derek said it was Alyson’s best dance yet. Bruno called it “so pretty” and “dreamlike.”

Alyson earned 26 out of 30 points. Their total was 51 out of 60 points.

The leaderboard

  • Xochitl and Val – 60 points
  • Charity and Artem – 59 points
  • Ariana and Artem – 58 points
  • Jason and Daniella – 57 points
  • Alyson and Sasha – 51 points

Who went home on the Dancing with the Stars Season 32 semi-finals?

No one! All five couples will compete in the Season 32 finale. That is a first for DWTS. All the judges’ and viewers’ votes will carry over into next week.

And Ariana wasn’t the only person who felt like they were going to vomit for the last two hours. Please pass the ginger ale.

We will see you next week for the Dancing with the Stars finale on Tuesday, airing on ABC and streaming on Disney+ (when I lose three more pounds from nerves
)
