I’m just going to say it. I am over the Ariana Madix woe-is-me tour. However, with a new season of Vanderpump Rules almost upon us, it looks like she may derail her own success. Season 10 gave us a shocking ending as Bravo cameras caught Tom Sandoval stepping out on his girlfriend of ten years. The Scandoval was intense as everyone rushed to take Ariana’s side. The breakup was brutal, and no one deserves to be cheated on. However, Ariana has found herself on top and taking every advantage that has come her way.
VPR Season 11 May Redeem Sandoval
Ariana might not need much inspiration for her role as Roxie Hart in Chicago, who is a dumb yet conniving woman who landed herself in prison. The Single AF Cocktails author hinted recently that Season 11 may cast a new, unsavory light over her. The preview clip showed Ariana yelling at Tom over her dog, acting spiteful, and honestly looking like an ogre. While Ariana has been milking the scandal, Tom has been working hard on his own redemption tour. So far it seems like it is paying off.
Sandoval took part in Fox’s Special Forces, where he confessed he felt like the most hated person in America. He has also made an effort to make things right with the people in his friend group, even having a chat with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay. Ariana has gone as far as to say that she feels that fans will “develop a soft spot for Tom.”
Season 11 Was “Weird” for Ariana
It turns out filming with an ex you despise isn’t all it is cracked up to be, no matter how big the paycheck is. While at BravoCon 2023, Ariana revealed that it wasn’t an easy time. “You know, it is what it is,” she said. “It was weird, it was different, it was difficult, and I’m glad that it’s behind me.” The candid confession is casting doubt that Ariana will be able to carry over all the goodwill and sympathy she has racked up since the cheating scandal broke in March.
They say Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and it seems that this will ring true for Ariana during VPR Season 11. The bartender could face repercussions for her lousy attitude just like Tom did, which could include fans boycotting her not even open sandwich shop, Something About Her. For months after Scandoval, Tom was faced with boycotts and angry thread posts that hurt his business and his employees. Fans could easily repay this favor when it comes to Ariana.
Season 11 Was Filmed Fresh off the Heels of Scandoval
The one major downfall that will almost inevitably hurt Ariana is the fact that Season 11 was filmed only days after the scandal hit the airways. This means is Ariana’s emotions are on high since she lived it at the time of the occurrence.
But for viewers, we won’t see the new season until almost eight months after it was originally filmed, so our emotions and Ariana’s emotions won’t be in the same place. Something that might seem so hurtful to Ariana at the time may look pretty innocent to viewers.
Ariana Hints At a Fall From Grace
I’m not the only one with this theory, but Bravo has a knack for only really letting one of the show’s stars be a villain two seasons, max. As we have seen with Scandoval, Tom took some major hits, which can’t be healthy for one’s mindset. However, fans’ barrage of hate towards Tom seems to be waning. So it could very well be that Ariana’s time as the angel of Vanderpump Rules is up, and her villain era is beginning.
Ariana has even admitted that she “wouldn’t be surprised” if VPR fans turn on her and “develop a soft spot for Tom.” If Ariana is already anticipating audiences turning against her, some big things must have gone down in VPR Season 11.
Frankly, we, as Bravo fans, love to see a fall from grace. My only question is, what could Ariana have done that was so bad to incur the wrath of viewers? It could be that maybe Ariana was also checked out of the relationship. Perhaps it will be revealed that she also stepped out on Tom? It could also simply be that the group of friends grew wary of her anger towards Tom, realizing he just cheated, and it wasn’t like he killed anyone.
