Lala Kent Says Shady Pump Rules Season 11 Trailer Comment About Ariana Madix ‘Taken Out of Context’

Considering just how desperately fans have been waiting for Vanderpump Rules Season 11, it made sense how tightly they latched onto the trailer. One trailer moment that received a great deal of discussion was Lala Kent’s comment at the very end of the teaser.

Lala seemingly shouted, “I have never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly becomes God,” referring to Ariana Madix. Fans who watched the trailer interpreted her words and tone as pure jealousy toward her high-achieving co-star.

In response to the discussion around her supposed jealousy, Lala took to Instagram. She posted a nude photo and quoted Sutton Stracke, writing, “Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants?” But even that garnered criticism. So, Lala decided to clear the air more explicitly.

Lala is glad people are “arguing” over her words about Ariana

In an Amazon Live, Lala reasserted her positive feelings toward Ariana. “I have always been a fan of hers. I think that that shows throughout the years,” she said. “Have we had our ups and downs? Absolutely. But to see my friend thrive after such heartbreak? I am so happy for her, and I am so proud of her.”

Lala also voiced praise for Ariana’s run on Dancing with the Stars, as well as her recent casting of Roxie Hart in Chicago. “The girl can dance, the girl has pipes, the girl can act,” Lala said. She emphasized her belief that Ariana “deserves everything that is coming her way.”

As for her words in the trailer, Lala said they were “taken out of context,” teasing that fans were “going to be surprised as to why.”  She further explained she wasn’t worried about the picture the trailer painted. “That’s what the trailer is meant to do. It riled everyone up, everyone is talking about [it] … people are arguing in the comments section — that’s what we want.”

She went on, “The second no one has an opinion on the television we’re making, we no longer have a show.” She added that a win for Ariana was a win for her: “Whether you love me, you can’t stand me, you think I’m incredible, or you think I’m jealous, it’s all the same to me. My name stays in your mouth. I want Ariana’s name to stay in your mouth.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 hits Bravo on January 30 at 8/7c.
