The distinguished actress Candiace Dillard Bassett just called out the bad actors on Real Housewives of Potomac.
With prestigious roles under her belt from celebrated TV movies like Christmas Lottery and Cruel Encounters, Candiace knows a thing or two about acting, so she’s giving some feedback to her RHOP co-stars.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the RHOP star chatted about the messy season currently unfolding, and she took time to drag some of her co-stars for being inauthentic. In Candiace’s opinion, there’s a lot of acting going on, and she’s ready to see some change in the future of the show.
Candiace isn’t impressed with Season 8
Reality TV should be real, but Candiace thinks that Season 8 of RHOP has been polluted with fakeness. She shared, “For sure, there is a lot of acting happening on Potomac this season.”
Candiace continued, “It might be nice to let one of the girls, one or two of the girls, audition for a role as an extra [on ALLBLK’s Hush], since they want to be actors.”
Candiace didn’t specify who she was talking about, but did she really need to? It’s obvious she’s talking about Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon. This season, the tension between Candiace and the Green-Eyed Bandits has the group fully divided. The likelihood of a resolution seems slim, and Candiace said that made this season feel awkward.
“It felt exactly how you all are viewing it,” she told the outlet.
When discussing the future of the show, Candiace said that it was time for the bad actors to take a final bow. She explained, “You have to have a group of women who are collectively willing to do what needs to be done.”
Candiace continued, “Do the work to move forward, and from what I’m seeing, we’re still backpedaling … We want to rest in the valley of the shadow of lies, and if we’re going to make those choices, then I don’t know what we’re going to do. We’re going to keep dancing around each other and pretending like everything is fine, and … I don’t know.”
We don’t know either Candiace. But, there’s plenty of time left in Season 8 for everyone to figure it out.
