Perennial Bachelorette Clare Crawley has a new title: Mommy. She and husband Ryan Dawkins welcomed their first baby via surrogate on January 15.
The happy parents shared an Instagram photo of them hugging in their hospital scrubs. The caption read, “She’s here! Healthy + beyond loved! Dream come true.”
Though they didn’t immediately announce the baby’s name, they have since revealed her to be “Rowen Lily Dawkins. 6lbs 10oz.”
Clare Crawley calls her baby “a dream come true”
Clare has been looking for her happily ever after since she was a contestant on Season 18 of The Bachelor in 2014. She famously told Juan Pablo Galavis, “I would never want my children [to have] a father like you,” when he broke up with her. She appeared in Seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, where a raccoon listened to her vent about the struggles of her love life. The professional hairdresser was also on Bachelor Winter Games and starred as the Season 16 Bachelorette. Both times she ended up engaged, but neither relationship lasted.
Mascot Sports CEO Ryan asked Claire to dinner shortly after her engagement to Dale Moss ended in 2021. A year later, he got down on one knee to propose, and they married on February 1, 2023.
Ryan has two daughters from a previous relationship, and he said at the time of their engagement that his girls were “completely obsessed” with Clare. The Sacramento native is equally fond of them, saying, “My husband has children. That makes me a stepparent now to them, and they are incredibly special to me. They count.”
Now Ryan’s older girls have a baby sister to cuddle. As Clare said in her Instagram post, “I prayed for you my entire life and to finally hold you in our arms is nothing short of a miracle and a dream come true!” Congratulations, Clare! I’m happy for you.
