Meri Brown has finally found love after a hopeless few years while being married to the loser, Kody Brown. After 30 years of legal and spiritual marriage, Meri threw her hands up in the air after being ignored for far too long. The Sister Wives star tried her best, even baking massive batches of Rice Krispie Treats, which the patriarch gobbled up. But in the end, his lust for his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn Brown, was just too much for Meri to compete with. Now she is realizing the grass is actually greener on the other side and throwing herself back into the dating world. But Meri Brown’s new relationship may be in trouble.
Who Is Meri’s New Beau?
Last week, on her 53rd trip around the sun, Meri announced to her Sister Wives followers that she had found love again with a man named Amos Andrews. The mother of one shared that her new boyfriend was quite attractive, and while “He’s not 6 foot 6, nor is he a pilot, but he loves Christmas almost as much as I do, and we laugh a lot together, both of which are important elements to a relationship!” A weird nod there, Meri, but that is exactly who she is. You’re a big old weirdo, Meri, and I love it!
Meri also joked about never going to polygamy, noting, “I’ve been keeping this kind of close to me as we’ve been enjoying the last few months of dating and getting to know each other. As I’ve considered when and how I wanted to share this fun news and share him with the world (jk, not really sharing, I’m keeping him to myself ?).”
Meri Might Self Sabotage
Pretty quickly, Meri has already started to monetize her relationship with Amos. Whether unconsciously or consciously, Meri is already including her new boyfriend in her Instagram segment, Fridays with Friends. After first giving a shoutout hinting at what may be to come for him, she had no issues having him appear on the show.
The interaction was awkward as Meri again made a joke about his weight. Honestly, she is going to give him an insecurity. Personally, I wouldn’t want to deal with a woman who uses filters but has the audacity to mock me— look in the mirror, lady.
The desperate tone in Meri’s voice would be enough of a turn-off, but she soldiered on as she laughed, saying that she was so excited to share her secret. Amos finally graced the screen and was sponsoring Meri’s Worthy Up brand by means of a black sweatshirt.
In her excitement, she snapped near Amos’ face and almost knocked him out. Classic. I can understand why Meri is so elated to have found love again, but lord, the man was like a deer in the headlights, and any minute, I am worried he is going to spook.
Amos Might Have a Bad-Boy Reputation
Meri is coming off like a dog in heat, and I’m going to need her to reel it in. Play cool, girl, don’t let him know that you’re totally smitten right off the bat! While Meri has one divorce under her belt, it looks like Amos has been around the block a few times. It turns out that Amos had just as many divorces as Kody had wives.
In Touch shared that Amos’ first marriage was to Tracy Ann Smith Lang, but the union ended in 1998. He then moved on to Shannon Marie Martin but divorced in 2000. The third marriage was to Christine Andrews, but they parted in 2004. The last was as recent as 2016 with Jennifer Carol Andrews, but the couple called it quits in 2021.
I mean, this feels like a major red flag to me. Four divorces is a lot, and I’d be interested in what his ex-wives have to say about him. Currently, Meri is really fending for herself. She has no relationship with her “ex-sister wives,” as she puts it, and while she and Kody are committed to making their divorce as amicable as possible, we all know Kody has no desire when it comes to checking in on his first wife.
