Real Housewives reunion looks have come a long way since the franchise’s early days. While Jenna Lyons’ jeans were controversial at the Real Housewives of New York City reunion last year, almost everyone wore jeans in the early Real Housewives of Orange County reunions. No matter how much things change, one thing has remained the same. As soon as reunion looks are released, there is at least one ensemble that make Housewives fans everywhere ask, “what was she thinking?!”
Whitney Rose, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4
While Whitney Rose is a very beautiful woman, this is one of the more interesting Real Housewives reunion looks I can recall. The color is bad, and the fit is off. It’s an awkward length, probably because the original dress was floor-length and she had it cut. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star is wearing three necklaces too many.
Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 1
No one looks great here, but some of the outfits were trendy in 2008 (the aughts was a very bad time for fashion). But if I had to single out one Real Housewives of Atlanta OG as worst dressed at their first reunion, it’s Kim Zolciak. Kim’s yellow satin blouse, vest, and matching pants was never a good look. Was she working a side gig as a casino blackjack dealer?
Adriana de Moura, Real Housewives of Miami Season 4
Did Adriana de Moura get her dates confused and dress for an 80s themed costume party instead of the Real Housewives of Miami Season 4 reunion? This looks like what Real Housewives wore in the franchise’s early days, where you could maybe give it a pass because of the style at the time (and because reunions weren’t as big of a deal). But Adriana wore this in 2022!
Meredith Marks and Jen Shah, RHOSLC Season 2
Which RHOSLC reunion look is worse, Meredith Marks‘ suit with a mesh net dickie and Cookie Monster sleeves, or Jen Shah‘s Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove cosplay? I genuinely can’t decide. Meredith’s ensemble is from her son Brooks Marks, and I have to wonder if he was mad at her when he made this? I also wonder if someone tried to warn Jen about her dress, to no avail. Meredith and Jen’s looks are so unique, I can’t even register the others. No wonder many Housewives fans called this the worst dressed reunion of all time.
Luann de Lesseps, Real Housewives of New York City Season 7
Luann de Lesseps wore a dress from her own clothing line, and it was the opposite of smart advertising. Luann’s had some fashion misses, and this dress might be the worst. It looks ill-fitting, and Class with the Countess, this is not.
Denise Richards, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9
Why did Denise Richards, a famous sex symbol, choose to wear a dress that looked like a sad brown paper bag? You’d think someone who’s been in the public eye that long would know how to dress for a televised event. Even the upside down pink jacket in her recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills return was a better look than this dress.
Ashley Darby, Real Housewives of Potomac Season 4
Like Gizelle Bryant, her partner in crimes of fashion, Ashley Darby‘s reunion looks constantly miss the mark. Hence why every Real Housewives of Potomac viewer is confused that Gizelle and Ashley are creating a fashion line. I could just as easily put Ashley’s Season 5 or 7 reunion looks here, but this is the one that sticks with me the most. There’s about five design elements too many, and the bodice seems very uncomfortable. This reunion look is such a mess, it completely distracts from Ashley’s gorgeous face!
Shannon Beador, Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17
Shannon Beador hasn’t made the best decisions lately, including this reunion look. The hair and the dress are bad enough on their own, but together, it’s a lot. Shannon famously changed a previous reunion look at the last minute because she didn’t want to wear a yellow dress. Who knows why she didn’t listen to those instincts this time.
Sanya Richards Ross and Marlo Hampton, RHOA Season 14
If you look up “overdesigned” in the dictionary, there’s probably a picture of these two reunion looks. Sanya Richards Ross looks like she couldn’t decide between two different dresses, so she had them sewn together. And I’m still so confused by the odd puffs of tulle all over Marlo Hampton’s dress.
RHOBH Season 12
The RHOBH Season 12 reunion rivals RHOSLC Season 2 as the worst dressed ever. I think all of these looks are bad, but I can’t pick just one as worst. Is it Kyle Richards‘ plastic-looking pink dress with the weird buckled straps that makes it look like she’s wearing a backpack? Or Garcelle Beauvais‘ odd mix of punk rock and Toddlers & Tiaras? Or Dorit Kemsley, who constantly has the worst Real Housewives reunion looks, despite insisting “fashion is my language, and I speak it fluently”?
Mary Cosby, RHOSLC Season 1
Sequins, shoulder pads, AND fur trim? Mary Cosby simply has too much going on. Also a bad look? Most of her comments at this reunion. Sorry Mary, don’t send Jesus after me!
Gizelle Bryant, RHOP Season 7
No list of worst Real Housewives looks would be complete without Gizelle. To quote Grand Dame Karen Huger, “Thank God Gizelle is a good-looking woman, because she can’t dress at all”.
