I’ll say it. I am sad to see a 27-year marriage fall by the wayside. Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have been the staple couple on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since day one. More often than not, they were the couple to aspire to. Kyle and Mau had a sense of respect for one another that clearly had lost its way. Since they announced their split on July 3rd, everything has become weird between them, leaving us viewers very uncomfortable.
Mau Is in a Midlife Crisis
Since his wedding ring slid off his finger, Mauricio has been acting as if he is going through a midlife crisis. Fans have seen him shirtless in Aspen, dancing with a much younger woman, going on the prowl in LA, and embracing his flirtatious side. Honestly, it’s gross. I get it, if he is single he is allowed to do all this but is he single? There is something about Mau that just isn’t resonating with me anymore.
I feel like he went from being a sweet, dorky husband who seemed supportive to an ick-ridden dude since he launched his reality show on Netflix. Between his stint on Dancing With The Stars and his constant posts about The Agency, something just feels so blegh. For a while, Mauricio has had a demeanor that has screamed, “I cheat on my wife,” yet everyone fawned over him. I think Kyle had to make a lot of excuses for him and eventually grew tired of the endless job.
Kyle Is Giving Up
Recently, Kyle spoke with ET about her husband being able to freely date other people while they figure out their marriage. Just my opinion, but if you are allowing your husband to go on dates, I can’t imagine you really give a damn about the relationship anymore. According to Kyle, they are both “free to do what we want.” Yikes, if that doesn’t scream divorce papers, I don’t know what will.
Morgan Wade Affair
Even though in the same interview, Kyle once again denied any romantic relations with Morgan Wade, sharing, “She plays a very important role in my life, as do a lot of my friends. Everyone is so focused on Morgan. I’ve seen my other friends getting edited out of photos; they’re just snipped right out, tossed to the side.”
In a surprising twist, Kyle shared that they have been spotted together often because Kyle is, in fact, a producer on the documentary that is being made about her. However, Kyle isn’t getting off that easy. Without a doubt, the Halloween actress has played into the rumors about her and the country singer.
The newest season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has shown lovey glances, hand-holding, and matching tattoos. So for Kyle to pretend it is just, some business relation is super insulting to viewers. Furthermore, it feels like Kyle and Morgan actually have a sponsor relationship since Kyle has given up drinking. But it wouldn’t be fair to just say Mau has been stepping out. Even if Kyle didn’t have a physical affair, I believe she very much had an emotional affair.
They Obviously Just Don’t Like Each Other
The number one cringey issue going on between Kyle and Mauricio is the simple fact that they aren’t interested in one another anymore. Instead of committing to divorce, both are dancing around the subject. Each knows how to play the reality TV game since every move is about a public relations look. Personally, I hate this. I would respect the duo more if they just came clean and admitted their marriage was over.
Whether or not Kyle is flirting with her sexuality isn’t for us to judge, but I do think it hindered her connection with her husband. At some point, if they wanted to save the marriage, they needed to make time for one another to heal their issues, but they didn’t. They now clearly repulse one another, whether it is Kyle being over Mau’s shirtless ways or the real estate agent finally becoming fed up with Kyle’s family drama. All I know is I now need the two to just go their separate ways because I am over their cringe-worthy headlines regarding their lack of love.
