Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac hasn’t been one of its best. Some fans are even wondering if the series needs a complete overhaul, like The Real Housewives of New York City. It seemed like this season promised plenty in the drama department. But Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard Bassett think that the upcoming RHOP reunion will deliver.
This season, Robyn Dixon faced more cheating rumors about her husband, Juan Dixon. Ashley was getting divorced from Michael Darby. And Mia Thornton and her husband, Gordon Thornton, faced their own marital and financial issues. They eventually split up. Isn’t love grand?
Ashley also played a role in the bad blood between Dr. Wendy Osefo and newbie Nneka Ihim. And longtime friends Candiace and Robyn also faced turmoil in their relationship.
Will the Season 8 RHOP reunion bring some clarity for Ashley and Candiace?
According to The Daily Dish, Ashley revealed that there will be more clarity about the issues between Wendy and Nneka. “You will see at the reunion that there is much more to the situation,” Ashley said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “There are more things that transpired, so, while I made a mistake, I’m not gonna take full responsibility for where the relationship is. And I have tried numerous times. I have I have, and I’m gonna keep trying,” she added.
Meanwhile, Candiace opened up about her “hope” that the reunion will bring her and Robyn back together. “I always say there’s hope, even if I don’t see the hope in the horizon, there’s always hope,” Candiace told Entertainment Tonight. “So, I’m hoping that — the reunion is taping very soon, that we can get to the reunion, get on the couch in our super-tight, breathe-less dresses, and figure it out.” Amen! Bring on the uncomfortable gowns!
She admitted that she isn’t sure exactly how they can mend their friendship. “I don’t know what that looks like, but we gotta figure it out. The couch is the hash-out spot, and I’m ready to hash it out,” the singer added.
