We must admit — finding out that Kandi Burruss was leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta was like a dagger to the heart. The Grammy winner spent 14 consecutive years holding a peach, and it wasn’t without conflict.
Throughout her time on the show, Kandi has feuded with a few big hitters, especially NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks. She’s also bumped heads a few times with former Miss USA Kenya Moore and the always fashionable Marlo Hampton.
But despite all of the arguing, she did have some fun moments. While filming, the superstar welcomed both of her youngest children, Blaze and Ace, started several businesses, wrote a smash hit for Kim Zolciak, and even began acting in scripted projects. Kandi spills the beans about her absolute favorite RHOA moment
Although Kandi has had a handful of exciting moments on the show to be thankful for, there’s one she can’t stop thinking about. “Meeting my husband through the show [is] a huge one for me,” Kandi told Paige DeSorbo, who was hosting the green carpet Sunday night for E! News.
“Our season where we took the Africa trip is where I met Todd [Tucker]. I didn’t meet him on camera, but that’s where I met him.”
Now that Kandi is out of the fold and doesn’t see a return to RHOA in the near future, what’s next for the series?
Well, Porsha Williams Guobadia is on her way back and is already getting the drama stirred up. Veteran Housewife Kenya has been teasing her return for the last few weeks, while Shereé Whitfield and Phaedra have expressed their interest in returning.
Outside of Porsha and Kandi’s casting announcements, there’s been nothing official from Bravo regarding Season 16. However, Andy Cohen recently revealed that he’s heard the fans’ pleas and noted that the casting process is going “superb.”
