Brandi Glanville recently sent a scathing letter to Bravo HQ, threatening legal action against the network with the help of Bethenny Frankel’s lawyers. The letter enumerated several wrongdoings on Bravo’s part, perhaps chief among these, sexual harassment allegations against Andy Cohen.
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star’s letter read, “In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime.”
Andy took to X, formerly known as Twitter ASAP, writing, “The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize.” Well, Bethenny had some thoughts on that response.
Bethenny compares Andy Cohen to Matt Lauer
On February 25, Brandi posted a TikTok saying, “So there’s a lot of talk about the Brandi/Andy situation on social media and the topic at hand is positions of power and abuse of power. Like, there was a Matt Lauer reference, which is a different story specifically. But he was in a [position of power].” Lauer was an NBC News anchor who was terminated after sexual misconduct allegations.
Bethenny continued, saying Andy “could really do whatever he wanted, and this is an alleged impropriety with an employee and talent.” She said it was “Interesting that he apologized publicly. Like, he definitely issued a public apology, but to who? Because I don’t believe she’s received a private apology.”
She concluded her thoughts on the matter by saying, “So, was he apologizing to us? Or just explaining to us? But he didn’t send us the video, he sent her the video. So, did he apologize to her? I just thought that was an interesting question.”
On February 26, Brandi put out a tweet saying, “I have not received a personal apology from anyone. I saw an apology that Andy posted TO HIS FANS for his mistreatment of me and inappropriateness.”
