Chelsea Blackwell is standing on business. The Love Is Blind star said that despite her powerful connection with her Season 6 co-star, Trevor Sova, she wouldn’t change a thing if asked to do it again. In fact, she said her heart led her directly to her now ex-fiancé, Jimmy Presnell.
“The day before Proposal Day, you don’t know who’s going first,” Chelsea told People. “It could be Trevor, it could be Jimmy, it does not matter … But I knew for a fact [I was going to pick Jimmy]. I went to bed that night, I prayed, I meditated, I did everything I needed to do to align my heart and my head and everything was guiding me to Jimmy.”
Her comments come after Trevor spilled his own tea. This was regarding Chelsea’s relationship with Jimmy, saying she would’ve said yes to him had he proposed first. “I was fairly confident going in, so I was definitely shocked when the first words out of Chelsea’s mouth, I could tell that Jimmy already proposed to her. I was not ready for that at all,” Trevor said.
Chelsea said proposal day on Love Is Blind was a “rollercoaster”
Since Chelsea had a special connection with Trevor and Jimmy, she knew proposal day in the pods would be a mess of emotions. “I didn’t know if I was going to be going through a breakup first or getting engaged first,” she said. “I ended up getting engaged first — which either way would’ve been a total emotional rollercoaster — but it worked out exactly how it should have.”
“So yeah, [Trevor proposing first] wouldn’t have changed my opinion at all or my answer.”
Fans watched Chelsea and Jimmy test the waters after they left the pods. They explored each other further in the Dominican Republic and back home in North Carolina.
Although watchers saw many ups, they also experienced many downs, ultimately leading to their breakup in the season finale. In an earlier interview, Jimmy said being constantly questioned took quite a toll on him and his connection with Chelsea.
“It’s hard when someone doesn’t believe how much you love them,” he said. “And so it was just a constant battle of me reiterating, and that’s something I don’t remember doing as much when we were in a relationship because when we went to bed each night, we were happy for the most part. And a lot of that isn’t shown, unfortunately.”
